could not agree more. WJ and Bob are legends. Force is just a character like no other. He talks in real life just like he does for those top end interviews.

@@mekevin22 The only thing worse than Warren's arrogance is the blind ignorance of his fan club. (and his only successes were when his competition was either retired or "ruled" out of the game)

Obviously there was a ton of awesome content here today, but the thought of Kurt and Warren participating in Prostock gave me chills. Even if it is just one race a year, I would love to watch that race. Warren is absolutely one of the reasons I became an engineer.

Unpopular fact. Bob Glidden was the true professor and will alwas be the real goat of PS drag racing. Once the GM camp had to rely on the DRCE, all pro STOCK labels stopped being relevant. Bob dominated Warren until that time. No one cried harder when Glidden whooped everyone 5 years in a row. Not hate, just facts.

different times. bob is the PS goat. WJ is just a super nice guy in person & his attention to detail was outstanding. have always loved seeing WJ race. its ok to support more than 1 driver, hell maybe even more than 1 class ;)

Warren is/was the guy who needed to be left alone by himself to do what he wanted to do. There's slots in the military, chemistry, engineering and who knows what. -- I know a fella who was that way and he's a real special person. Oppenheimer, Tesla, and a ton more. Seems Warren would fit the mold. -- Don't misunderstand the man.

Warren is a great guy to talk shop with, I just wish he would shut the f$%k up about his politics. Dude has been such a legend and pillar of engine building it's a shame he ever strays away from that. Always has been one of the best to ever do it.

I respect WJ for his accomplishments, and his successes. But, i honestly have to say that during the Bob Glidden/Warren Johnson wars. Bob Glidden is the True Successor and the True Professor. Everyone one does and goes about things differntly, as both bob and warren did. Bob had less Fords in the field than gm's. Large majority of the time unless if it was Ihra. Bob was the only 1, and he dominated. Love ya Warren, but LONG LIVE BOB GLIDDEN. P.S Warren I did buy your book.

Warren was one of the accomplished racers during a time when everything was mechanical, and couldn't be programmed into a computer. His accomplishments were great but not possible without cubic money from GM. I have always thought NHRA was one sided, skewed towards Chevrolet. I have always favored Mopars and Fords as they always seemed like underdogs. People like Glidden and Roush (and others) found the performance in the other brands (with the aid of lots of money). Sure I could buy a Chebbie but what fun would that be. I feel better beating on a Mopar (and coming up short) than just giving up and turning to Chevrolet. But that's what makes the world go round. Would I let Warren build me a killer Chev (Oldsmobile), hell yea. Would I put it in my 73 Cuda...Hell no.

If switching from carbs to fuel injection was 300 horsepower in the marine application why was it worth zero on an NHRA pro stock motor. Multiple current pro stock racers say that fuel injection is universally disliked.
