Rizki Fitrianto dude, stay away from anything related to game of thrones on the internet, or you will get something spoiled. It happened to me for about half of the deaths in the series, partly because of jerks on the internet, and partly because of my own stupidity. I can't wait to get the winds of winter on release day and then finish it as fast as humanly possible to avoid spoilers, that is, after turning off my internet connection. I may be just a tad paranoid.

Dany is my favorite character because she has gone from being a walking mat to being the most powerful ruler in the Game of Thrones world. Out of all the rulers, Dany has the warmest heart (and is the mother of dragons, to boot!). Game of Thrones without Dany would leave us with complete cuckoos, possibly no dragons to take out the white walkers (guess of what's to come), and no character with as much heart and understanding as Dany. While she is not perfect (a bit too much with the crucify the slave owners to show that crucifying people is bad), I would consider it a great honor to serve the Khaleesi. From a political standpoint, Dany makes the most sense to fight behind: Starks are too few, Stannis has the woman who sacrifices live people, Lannisters are too corrupt, the Greyjoys are too treacherous. Where else would you rather call home? Join the Khaleesi today! I have more favorite characters (such as Samwell Tarly), but as far as who is my favorite and what side am I on? Without question, Dany.

Well, at first my favorite character was Ned Stark, until they killed him off in book one. But since then, Arya has quickly become awesome throughout the novels, with Tyrion following in a close second.

I've gotten fond of Davos in Ned's place. Both loving dads and loyal servants who actually have the guts to say what their respective kings need to hear rather than what they WANT to hear. But then, I enjoy most of the point of view characters for various reasons. My favorites are probably Jaime, Brienne, Sam, Tyrion, and John, with Cersei added in as one I love to read because I hate her so much.

Exactly! I just don´t like how blind she is to the whole Robert´s rebellion situation, even after she is told everything. Also, i don´t know but she survives a lot of situations out of pure luck. One of my favorite moments with her is the liberation of astapor when she finally showed to have a decent brain and actually controls the situation and that made her really badass. I don´t like the fact that she rushes into situations and comes out victorious only because she has dragons. For female characteres i love my Aryas and Margaerys.

KiwiShane247 that's right there are different names for different regions. For example in the books we meet a girl named 'Stone'. That is the bastard name for the Vale of Arryn. The name for the crownlands is 'Waters' (we also meet one of those later) so that should be Gendrys last name. Others are for example Hill, Rivers, often something to do with landscape.

Favorite: Jaime. Yeah, he gets flak for doing all sorts of weird and evil stuff, but he is trying to be honorable, just going about it in all the wrong ways. He's actually one of the only people with an ounce of honor in the Seven Kingdoms. In the books, he's even cooler. Annoying: Sansa. She's soooooo slow... And Littlefinger, I never know what the heck he's doing. And Daenerys, because she's a crybaby who only cares about having guys fight over her, while there's kinda a big war going on and more important stuff to worry about. She's totally easy... Let's see: What "Casterly Rock" is and why Tyrrion's supposed to have it, why Dani wants the Iron Throne, why Joffery HAS the Throne, who Theon Grayjoy is, why Bran's legs don't work, why Stannis thinks he's the rightful king and why his semen made a demon, what "The King of the North" means, and what are the "kingdoms". And that's just in the topics you mentioned. I can't really blame you. It's hard to summarize 2 seasons of Game of Thrones in 5 minutes, though the show really boils down to "if people aren't fucking, they're dying".

I`m surprised to have seen only one comment on this page about the most hated/annoying character in the show being Joffrey. it was to my general understanding that he was a universal Game of Thrones icon for such a character (that being basic bandwagon hatred). very interesting... perhaps, since it`s so obvious for everyone else, people tried to make themselves sound more "original" by intentionally avoiding Joffrey? I`m not trying to judge, just an observation. also, to be completely honest, I have mixed feelings about Joffrey... every time he shows up something twitches inside of me; it just irks me knowing that someone had managed to create a character with so much hatred and ignorance inside of them; and yet he by himself is a very good character. it`s hard to explain. I guess I love to hate him, in a sense. the show just kind of... needs him. I can only imagine why. does anyone else feel this way?

I think the best character is Barristan Selmy. There's a lack of words in this world, or Westeros for just how badass the guy is. I don't really dislike any characters, as they all have very defined and basass personalitys.
