As for the save scumming, the game has an in-game retry button that i used a LOT on my winning run, so no shame! Great first video, hope you go far!

Yea a few ppl mentioned the in-game retry buttoned, don't know how i missed it lol i was manually resetting by refreshing the page every time

Great video, super high quality! would've never guessed that it's your first video. Would love to see more. Really simple strat, get fuecoco, pick bulbasaur for sleep powder and leech seed, and poppolio as your starter, if you manage to get egg moves of totodile, replace popplio if it has dragon dance and fischious rend, get a magikarp, get a pokemon with sticky web or a nacli and a salandit/salazzel since it has corrosion which let it poison/toxic any type and has swagger, a common spawn at the volcano, you can easily go to volcano with a map if you know where to go, and you can set up sticky webs on ivy to force pokemon swapped out to be slower and you can combine with x speed to make your pokemon basically 100% faster than your rival, set up leech seed on a pokemon if it safe enough, then when your at eternatus you can toxic it and try to stall him until he dies

funfact the rival changes based on what gender u select as ur player character. i for example have rival finn. i dont think they differ too much safe for sex and design but i just thought it was neat

Wait really? I guess all of the videos and guides I watched always picked boy as gender, that's cool that they have a different rival tho. It'd be kind of funny if they changed some small gameplay thing based on the rival but i bet it is just a design change. You learn something new everyday.

11:09, you just didn't try hard enough, on my very first runs when I realised you could save scum I restarted my rival fight 30-50 times for like 2-3 hours straight, I'm pretty sure I even did a "Im going to sleep, do this in the morning with a fresh brain". I was literally writing up a win doc, as in the moves and switches I needed to make in order to beat her, did it again for eternatus.
