Beautiful, wonderful fairy tale. I love it. Fairies, pixies, sprites, dwarves, mermen, and mermaids. The fairy queen, Pacida, King James, Queen Mutinosa, Princess Graziella, Prince Arthur, and Bonnetta. Flying carriages pulled by birds, little people riding animals. Quite amusing, I say. Oh, if I was in the land of those little people, magical creatures and immortal beings, I wouldn't have to worry about naughty and wicked people, strictly stupid rules, learn old grown-up things, being forced to marry, and do too much chores. The things I want in my fantasy world are books, movies, pictures, toys, and antiques. (Unique books and movies with fairy tales, mythologies, folklore, nursery rhymes, fables, classic tales, and ancient history, without anything inappropriate of course. No curse words, no violent killing or worse). I keep thinking about having adventures and excitement of my young life. I want friends to play and explore with me, ones whom to have in common. I wish I had fairy godmothers to help me and give me anything I desire like those from Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. Perhaps the one I painted in my canvas would come to me whenever I am in need of help and get out of trouble. Not only do I wish to a little kid to play again, but I also wish to be a fairy that stays strong, childlike, young, and beautiful. I still refuse to wake up and grow up like Peter Pan. I want to be in a place where there is magic and dreams cane come true. Sometimes I wish to get out of the real world, the world of reality. I am sick of reality because most people expect to wake up from dreams in my head, grow up and forget those childhood things I knew. Man, it gets too much for me to take when I prefer a carefree life. I don't want to outgrow my childhood and I don't want to forget the things I remember in the past, especially others from movies and TV shows. I hate growing up. I hate being old that makes you look unattractive, weak and ugly like an old hag with a wrinkly face. Yuck! I do not want to be looking that in my life. That is why I wish to be magical world of my dreams, so I will never grow old. I am like the fairies, Tinker Bell and Peter Pan. I may be shy and autistic on the outside, but inside, I am a child. Never grow up.

On my humble opinion,tge story that I saw is absolutely disorganized,complicated and out of the reality. The plot is indistinct,many extra characters.

The original goes a bit more in depth. But not much better. I think part of it is they made it shorter and more politically correct. Even in the original I felt a bit sorry for the merman. Even if he was the suitor she did not want she mainly did not want to be with him based on how he looked.

Good king foolishly doesn't listen to his friend/advisor when picking a bride. She turns out to be very spiteful. She is rude to an old women who is a fairy in disguise. The queen of fairies wants to turn her to stone essentially. (Bronze in this one) a fairy asks the fairy queen to be lenient. Instead of turned to stone she is made a servant. Back then royalty didn't do much by themselves the servants helped them dress etc so since she has done no servants work before the fairy only has her do a few simple tasks. (Its implied the queen was expecting her to be forced to serve the fairy and do everything similar to what Cinderella had to do if that helps) the human queen is to be a servant till she has a child. The human queen has a child. The child stays and she can go. The fairy doesn't make the daughter do any housework instead raises her as if she was own child. The daughter gets gifts from fairies (very common custom in these tales.) the fairy's speech is basically that when fairies punish someone it often is to make them unattractive or change their form (like to an animal) or make them not clever. So to bless the child they will do the opposite. They give her beauty wisdom (or something like that) and make it so that no one can change her into something else. (No transformation to wild animals or magical beasts for her) the daughter grows up and is very beautiful. The queen fairy heard of this. She wanted the human queen mother and child to be punished for the human queens crimes. Since that didn't happen she takes the girl from the good fairy and puts her in a castle? (Depends in version) in the middle of the ocean where her only company is her maid. (Basically princess in a tower now) she can leave when she is in the arms of someone she loves who loves her in return. (The way to break the spell) however the fairy queen does not want this to happen so she does all she can to prevent it. Fairies in these stories are not always good. If they see you worthy of being rewarded you are very lucky. If they see fit to punish you then you are very unfortunate. This princess has both. Blessed by the fairy who raised her, but punished by the fairy queen. (The fairy who took care of the princess is of a lower station then the queen so she can do a little but not much to help the princess.) the only guy company the princess has is merman who fell in love with her. He basically brings her presents from the see entertains her with his water antics (the merman is in love with her. So he is showing off and trying to woe/get her to like like him back.) the princess is not interested in him because she thinks he is not handsome. But she likes his presents and he keeps her entertained so she is civil to him. Sister tries to act as wingman (wingwomen ?) for her brother. Turns out theirs a underwater entrance that he and his sister can come into the tower. So they regularly visit the princess. (Even though the story is about the princess and the merman wasn't exactly the best guy I bet if we heard it from his point of view it would be quite different even in the original I felt sorry for him. She kind of led him on and was trying to use him to aide her escape. Once free I doubt she'd even be his friend anymore.) anyway princess tries to get merpeople to free her. Mermaid won't unless she agrees to be with her brother basically. Maid makes a painting of a handsome man. Princess wishes he was real and that he would save her. Turns out painting is almost exactly like a real prince. Who heard about her, the island tower no one can get close to and her plight. He wants to see and rescue her. Captain says it's to dangerous by ship so he drops of the prince on an island and goes to ask a fairy he knows for help (guess who-the fairy who raised the princess) island is protected by magic so she sends a bird to see if it can find a way in that is safe. Bird finds a way. Princess and prince exchange messages. He tells her how he loves her and wants to help her. She says she can't promise to love him since hasn't even seen or met him yet. She tells him to send a portrait of himself. (Nowadays would be a selfie) if she sends it back she's not interested in him. If she keeps it she's interested in him. (...I think I found where they got the idea for the early years of tinder..this fairy tale) she gets it sees its a match to the one the maid made. She falls for him. Fairy turns Prince to bird so he can go see her without being detected by the fairy queen. Once he is thier she basically cuddles the bird. Not knowing its him. Fairy turns him to a human. She is in the arms of someone she loves who loves her. Fairy queen doesn't want this so instead of princess being set free and instantly at home they have to flee the tower falling. The maid, princess and prince are saved by the good fairy. Their taken home she meets her dad the mom had died. She marries her Prince and they live happily ever after.

Good king foolishly doesn't listen to his friend/advisor when picking a bride. She turns out to be very spiteful. She is rude to an old women who is a fairy in disguise. The queen of fairies wants to turn her to stone essentially. (Bronze in this one) a fairy asks the fairy queen to be lenient. Instead of turned to stone she is made a servant. Back then royalty didn't do much by themselves the servants helped them dress etc so since she has done no servants work before the fairy only has her do a few simple tasks. (Its implied the queen was expecting her to be forced to serve the fairy and do everything similar to what Cinderella had to do if that helps) the human queen is to be a servant till she has a child. The human queen has a child. The child stays and she can go. The fairy doesn't make the daughter do any housework instead raises her as if she was own child. The daughter gets gifts from fairies (very common custom in these tales.) the fairy's speech is basically that when fairies punish someone it often is to make them unattractive or change their form (like to an animal) or make them not clever. So to bless the child they will do the opposite. They give her beauty wisdom (or something like that) and make it so that no one can change her into something else. (No transformation to wild animals or magical beasts for her) the daughter grows up and is very beautiful. The queen fairy heard of this. She wanted the human queen mother and child to be punished for the human queens crimes. Since that didn't happen she takes the girl from the good fairy and puts her in a castle? (Depends in version) in the middle of the ocean where her only company is her maid. (Basically princess in a tower now) she can leave when she is in the arms of someone she loves who loves her in return. (The way to break the spell) however the fairy queen does not want this to happen so she does all she can to prevent it. Fairies in these stories are not always good. If they see you worthy of being rewarded you are very lucky. If they see fit to punish you then you are very unfortunate. This princess has both. Blessed by the fairy who raised her, but punished by the fairy queen. (The fairy who took care of the princess is of a lower station then the queen so she can do a little but not much to help the princess.) the only guy company the princess has is merman who fell in love with her. He basically brings her presents from the see entertains her with his water antics (the merman is in love with her. So he is showing off and trying to woe/get her to like like him back.) the princess is not interested in him because she thinks he is not handsome. But she likes his presents and he keeps her entertained so she is civil to him. Sister tries to act as wingman (wingwomen ?) for her brother. Turns out theirs a underwater entrance that he and his sister can come into the tower. So they regularly visit the princess. (Even though the story is about the princess and the merman wasn't exactly the best guy I bet if we heard it from his point of view it would be quite different even in the original I felt sorry for him. She kind of led him on and was trying to use him to aide her escape. Once free I doubt she'd even be his friend anymore.) anyway princess tries to get merpeople to free her. Mermaid won't unless she agrees to be with her brother basically. Maid makes a painting of a handsome man. Princess wishes he was real and that he would save her. Turns out painting is almost exactly like a real prince. Who heard about her, the island tower no one can get close to and her plight. He wants to see and rescue her. Captain says it's to dangerous by ship so he drops of the prince on an island and goes to ask a fairy he knows for help (guess who-the fairy who raised the princess) island is protected by magic so she sends a bird to see if it can find a way in that is safe. Bird finds a way. Princess and prince exchange messages. He tells her how he loves her and wants to help her. She says she can't promise to love him since hasn't even seen or met him yet. She tells him to send a portrait of himself. (Nowadays would be a selfie) if she sends it back she's not interested in him. If she keeps it she's interested in him. (...I think I found where they got the idea for the early years of tinder..this fairy tale) she gets it sees its a match to the one the maid made. She falls for him.
