I think my favorite part about Radahn's "tiny" horse is that Leonard is actually fucking huge. He is ten feet tall at the shoulder. He's just scrawny compared to RADAHN.

and also, radahn canonically learned gravity magic so the horse can keep up with him and not actually have to carry his weight. radahn is such a beast, he is maintaining half a dozen spells all at once, _while his mind is rotting away._ and for all his feral attitude at this point, he never hurts leonard.

My biggest regret in elden ring is not being able to reach radahn before the debuffed him. Spent 3 hours wondering around until my friend said he was in the castle in the corner... by than they debuffed him

I ended up pivoting, meaning: 1 - I gave in to the summon signs 2 - I leveled a bow to +16 or 19 so I difn’t have to get close I could NOT figure out the timings, and either of his double hit would one-shot me, plus his hitboxes felt kinda DS1-2 ish.

7 hours, and i think that was pre-patch, because i was using pre-nerf turtle shield. he was a monster, but to be fair, most of my deaths were caused by alex's massive jar booty blocking my rolls out of radahn's swings.

Part of the lore that fits into why the bosses and mobs are so horrendous is because it is the nature of the tarnished to rise again after death after being touched by grace. But not everything is touched by grace.. Marika literally REMOVED the rune of death from an interdimensional sentient force of nature that literally governs the laws of physics. She BROKE death and hid it in her shadows sword. Fast forward to the monsters and bosses that were clearly just "civilians" for lack of a better term. Many things that SHOULD kill people just isnt killing them anymore. Rot, magic, curses, sickness you name it and it takes so much more to cause lethal harm. In the case of the misbegotten, theyve been kind of "Infected" with creation. The crucible is sort of the true form of the erdtree before the shattering that caused reality to fracture, with is what the tree actually is. A massive webbed fissure of pure creation webbing upwards and outwards. That energy was granted to a handful of the knights serving godfrey. Anyone born under someone touched by grace had a chance to be omenkind since as far as i see it the numen race is not biologically compatible with the energy of the elden ring. Keeping all of this in mind, it is the exact same force that keeps these creatures alive that also caused them to mutate and devolve this way. The rot hounds, death birds, misbegotten, the vulgar malitia were all actually PEOPLE, not to say dragons, stone imps, and other animals didnt exist already. But even then, the lionine and the runebears are altered in such a way that implies taint by the crucibles energy. These things are all absolutely nightmares of existence but thats what happens when you fuck with death, you give life to things that should under no circumstances be allowed to live. The crucibles raw power to destroy but not kill, to remake and reshape, when you remove death from it it warps into pure unending decay but never lets you end. Thats where the scarlet rot comes from. Its broken, and corrupted, it does everything EXCEPT kill you (lore wise since it actually does kill the player) other wise you are just endlessly driven mad and corrupted.
