Whenever I see you give up on an irony target I can't help but think of the guy who found a 300+ silver coin hoard just below an iron find. The iron was masking the silver mother load.

Right? That was my question. Someone buried a large iron strongbox full of gold and silver 18 inches deep, but he stopped digging at 12. Oh well, hopefully Simon or Albert will find it next week 😃😂

Sorry my friend,but I'm going to have to call you mad. Due to the fact of where you are deep iron could be an ancient sword or numerous other artifacts.... I'd have to dig it especially if you had gone down a couple more inches and turned out to be below the plow line....

I notice that you are sometimes taken aback that you have a medieval hammered coin. Is it that those coins vary significantly in potential read out? Or are keeping expectations low so you will not have hopes repeatedly dashed (potentially)?

You should always dig Targets John because you never know what they are could be something awesome. It's in the same field with a Hammered Coin so that field has some really nice finds. I remember someone found a really cool AX once. Congrats on the coin and thank you for sharing.
