I started playing ark a little over a week ago and it was amazing. It reminded me of Myst and Ultima online. I built my first wood house and was raided by someone with a hand gun while i had a bow. It was so much fun defending even though he got in and "raped my dead body" from what he said... Last night someone leveled my stone and small metal base. Completely leveled it. I didn't have much in resources but they destroyed everything so i could not rebuild. So after watching these videos i now understand how this game is not for the new players. 3 servers i tried playing on it was the same. Instead of growing the community they make it shrink by shunning the noobs. Ark should do something about pvp servers, they should include more offline protection server or server transfer restrictions if they want to grow the community. My small group of friends that joined no longer want to play. I understand the option of PVE but we do like PVP. We just cant be online 24 hours. If a metal wall can be taken down in a second then whats the point of building bases for new players, why even play longer then a week. It was a fun week though. This is nothing against the content provider, thank you Kishko for showing me high level play. Good luck everyone and be safe out there. I guess I'll go back to Apex.

Play unofficial bruh that’s how official is learn the game or get off those are your options. I started with some random 20x u official server when I was a bob and now I’ve been in official alphas. Just learn the game and then try official or you’re gonna get bodied. And ark OFFICIAL ain’t for u if can’t play at minimum 12-15 hours a day unless u have a full tribe and they don’t mind carrying your weight

there is a server setting that enables offline raid protection so when you are offline nobody can raid/harm you

I need a pvp god to help I been playing ark for the last couple months and every server I get on just want to build epic bases and tame all the Dino's but I keep getting raided which I get it's apart of the game but after losing a couple bases I moved to a new server a genisis server and me and my cuzin were the only ones playing on it then the owner of the server pops up a couple days after we been grinding we talked to him a little he seemed cool thought nothing of it logged of for the night and come back on I was somehow outside my base looted everything off my body but they didn't get on was really close but they gave up but killed all my Dino's that weren't in cryo pods I didn't mind too much it bothered me a little cuz we talked with the guy and he was nice just to stab me in the back to try and raid my base and I was sick and tired of this happening so my cuzin that I play with was on by himself told me he had found his base and was about to raid it before the owner /killed him and our whale that took us hours because we didn't know how to do it but how fucking scummy are you to not even fight just abuse power like plz someone help me.gey revenge on this dirt bag it would be life's greatest treasure - sincerely a salty ark noob
