I’m from Columbus Ohio and Mansfield is known for only one thing and that’s it’s prison. That’s right, they built a brand new prison to replace this old one and the prison is the largest employer for this 50 thousand person community. So glad I left this god forsaken state.

NOT 100% ACCURATE. Yes, The movie was filmed here, including the shower room, Parole room, Warden's ofgice, and other parts. But, the cell block in the movie was actually a mock up in a Dayton, OH. warehouse rented by the producers.
