I prefer the original spring design. These new springs make a mattress too hard eventually. Feels like your pressure points are hitting a wooden board. I miss the days when beds had a slightly "springy" feel to them. Now they just feel like dense foam.

So true I sleep so uncomfortable on my bed that didn’t last a year. I put a memory foam on top and it last a few months and then I was sinking in it and my body is so sore it feels like I was hit with a bat.

This is 100% accurate. I have a company where I build my own mattresses. A pocket coil with latex and flappable has a 20 year warranty on it. 1 sided 15. Latex is the best. Great job.

what do you think about having an 8 inch pocketed coil mattress with a 2" latex topper?.. at least then you can utilize both sides of the mattress, and the topper to extend life further
@thebeddoctor42733 жыл бұрын
@@ulfrinn8783 that is what I sleep on. I think its a great idea. I sleep on a brick with a latex topper so every few years I will replace the topper

That is interesting because here in the Netherlands they say that latex is getting harder through the years because of the salt from transpiration. My 13 years old daughter is stuck on her mattress, it was from her sister before but she said it is like she is sleeping on a cloud, she doesn't like another mattress as she likes her current one. Her weight is only 39 kg but I can feel the springs under the foam if I lay on it so I like to renovate her mattress with a new layer on the pocket springs before she is feeling it also. It is a mattress with a zip cover like almost all the matrasses do have here. What do you suggest as a replacement for a light weight teenage girl?

I had high end Sealy pocketed and it felt like every single coil was poking me in the back all night long. Miserable 2 weeks of torture. I went be to the continuous coil mattress and slept fine for 10+ years. Now after 12 years I need a new mattress, but no one seems to make a continuous coil mattress. This really stinks.

In 2006 I got a firm Sealy backsaver quail Greek || innerspring mattress It lasted me 12 years then on year 13 it started getting bad in the center So I purchased a Serta innerspring mattress says it was 7 inches deep turned out to be only 6 1/4 inches deep it didn’t have pocket the springs but it did have low motion transfer and the springs that means we’re not connected but after a year and a few months I already need a new mattress The problem I think is my disability because I scoot to move in bed from sitting position. Probably 15 gauge springs and the old bed lasted so long because all the springs would share the weight. I wish companies would always keep the original option for their customers there will always be people out there that want a firm innerspring mattress where the springs are connected and not 12 inches thick more like 7 inches thick I sleep alone so I don’t need the low transfer option but it seems like they totally are deleting or not making that option anymore.

Hi FreddyCip, it is infused with the mineral graphite. It is supposed to help wick away heat. We also have graphite infused memory foam and copper-infused latex. In addition to regular latex as well.

Hi Marcos. No, our pocketed coils in the support layer are not noisy and do not have any noise that can be heard from open coil mattresses.

All are agent marketing. The question is, do you sleep on metal or on mattress?
@granjmy Жыл бұрын
Not so at all. You sleep on the metal within the mattress, unless you choose a 100% foam mattress.

Highly misleading. Doesn't mention coil diameter, offsetting, coil density, coil count, or coil gauge, let alone that pocketed coils are more expensive and thus the potential for, if not probable, profit motivation for being this misleading.

I've been told, as I have been searching & tried a friend's bed & thought WOW!!!! BUT a different professional gave different input. That it also depends on how u sleep?!?! Someone who sleeps on their side, the pockets springs were explained to be better, b/c they go with your body. However, he clearly said, that for stomach sleepers, pocket coiks are not the best, BUT the metal springs. Not sure if that helps, cuz I'm still researching myself?!?! I just knew what my friends' bed was, & level of firmness.
@AnotherPlanetsHell11 ай бұрын
@@tammyboon6259 Indeed, in addition to the factors I mentioned above (which are ignored in this video), sleep position is also an indispensable consideration. It's misleading to focus only on the _type_ of coil (i.e., pocket or Bonnell) while disregarding all these other equally important factors.
