I think we all had a fear of in the beginning. The more you ride the more you lose those fears. If you think you're dropping a lot of fears now. Wait till you run to California and back to St Louis. After that ride you will have mastered your motorcycle, the weather and roads. And buy that damm ST!!! LOL!!!

Queensit. Listen. Something we ol'timers learned when driving stick-shifts, was getting off that gas pedal. Even in newer cars, auto or stick, use that gas pedal as a brake. Learn how much your vehicle will slow down by taking your foot off the gas, aka, engine braking. Allowing the engine to do what it is designed to do. When on a bike, if, we allow the engine to do what it's designed to do, aka, like heading into a curve, we learn that we can drop so many miles per hour before applying the brake. In most cases, we may not need to apply a brake at all, as the motor will naturally slow us down a certain percentage heading into the apex of the said curve. Then applying the gas on the downside of that apex. This method can be applied to cars. There is a certain percentage of braking figure into all motors. Another thing you can do. Get around a bunch of Ol'time bikers. Older men/women, and put that question to them. Alot can be learned by simply learning to listen, taking the good from the bad, and letting GOD our Father sort out all the rest. As always, Scottishxpride, Tx.
