First one fine you can hear reff says so, second one he starts babling I suspect it was too tmo. Also you can clearly see second one was a shoulder charge, but 1st certainly not, he tackle fair not his problem player jumped diagnoly into the tackle last second.

Does the player not have to jump from inside the touch line to keep the ball in play? Surely the refs couldn’t have missed something that obvious?!

There is a rule allowing "a player, who is in touch, kicks or knocks the ball, but does not hold it, provided it has not reached the plane of touch." This clearly does not apply as the ball is obviously out when its knocked back in. The touch judge also raises then lowers their flag which is not right as you can see the Irish players stop. I can only guess the touch judge got the rules mixed up making the call?

No that was the spain olimpics qaulifier. This game was part of the last tournament of the series 2023-2024. Sa ended up 7th overall and ireland 2nd out of 8 tournaments i think

I know the ref and TMO did their best to gift SA the win, but surely they could have come up with some ridiculous call to deny Ireland that last try, they manage that so easily in the 15's, just shocking that refs allow Ireland to win games on merit. World Rugby has lost the plot! Allowing teams to beat SA and NZ is just not on.
