Lockdown is pretty much Rainbow Six: Extraction and Escape from Tarkov but with cars. I like how they managed to take the extraction/battle Royale mode and make it work for cars. From season 6-9 Criterion has cooked 🍚 this year.

I've played 3 games of lockout and I STILL don't get what I'm supposed to be doing exactly. I try and race and get smacked around because I'm not lucky enough to find an emp or spikes beforehand, and I never have any money for lockups as I keep getting pounced on by teams whenever I get any decent amount of cash in the district so I'm forced to stick to the outer limits and try and stay off people's radar. Playing the mode with randoms is a waste of time as they don't work with you and having no friends who play this game means solo is pointless too. Is there really any point in playing this mode?

Try turning off crossplay, it drastically reduces the amount of players you can get in servers, which makes lockdowns much easier and a lot less stress inducing. I play on PC, with crossplay off I usually get at most 4 players, including myself, and sometimes I can get a solo server all to myself.

Build up a streak up to S-S+ so you can have a seed advantage, that way you can get around the map faster and easier, you may or may not be lucky to find some pursuit tech and you can do speed traps or speed runs to get money as well, if you are doing races, then you can try to get pursuit tech if you are in the front, otherwise try to dodge them, spikes are the best to use in races and if people are chasing you, try to outrun them by taking sharp turns , it can also help to use damage decrease so you can survive against players and cops more longer, and the point in playing this mode is if you want to get free cars ig and the blacklist ones
