Yeah, I immediately knew he didn't have permission. Nobody is going to give their kid fountain pens worth hundreds of dollars. And even if they did, they sure as hell aren't okaying the brat pawning them for 1/3 of their value. Plus, the guy said he could just call his dad for permission, which would be super easy. When the kid didn't pull his cell out to make the call I was like, "Yeah, he's gonna go to a different shop." But now he's on video so I wonder if anyone will see. 😂

lol. I have seen those gold foiled bills for sale for $3 a piece. They don’t have any measurable amount of gold in them. I bought 5 of them, and didn’t recover any gold at all from them when I refined them. There are gold bills called ‘goldbacks’ that are specific amounts of gold in each bill. They cost way more than the gold you get, but at least you know you’re getting the amount of gold shown on the bills. I’ve refined a few of these, and got back exactly the amount of gold they said they contained.
