I really dig the bag content. Great review and this really catches my eye, love the look and materials.

Thanks Miya! Much different pack than what I would call the norm in 2024 (so far)

I tried the Pioneer Savant pack after watching this review, it took the #1 spot as my EDC driver! The large front pocket that fits my Evergoods CAP2 tech pouch is perfect. Without that, the tech pouch gets buried in the main compartment underneath all the other pouches and gear. The configuration allows for a quick grab of the laptop and tech pouch without disrupting anything else. Genius.

Ayee I’m glad you enjoyed the Savant pack! Sounds like you’ve got it dialed in and figured out what works best where. Should be the last bag you’ll need for awhile 😉

Where do you keep water bottles? In a pocket within the quick access?

You had to know that when your viewers saw the price on the link their jaw would drop. 95% of people won’t buy this backpack.

I was just thinking what's the price because I like the clean look but I'm nervous to check now 🤔
@RonKwok10 ай бұрын
Definitely premium priced, and the big debate here is whether it’s worth it or not given its materials, build, use case, etc. thanks for entering the chat 🤙
@tob3579 ай бұрын
Agreed, but that 5% might buy more than one... to keep one and give others as gifts!

It’s definitely a big bill to swallow, just boils down to whether you can get significant mileage out of the form factor, material, and build. Thanks for chiming in 🤘🏼

over all it looks quite good, but unfortunatly i need strapps and buckels and loops on the outside so i can put bigger tings on the outside like tools and stuff, things that might get dyrty so you don´t want to put them in the bag with your other stuff, or for example my packpack has these little loops on the strapps that you can hang stuff on its the perfet place for my lamp so i don´t have to put it on my belt ore else were can just go there and ceeps my hands free, so for me a millitary style backpack with a bunch of stuff on the outside for ataching bigger things or stuff you don´t want in the bag works quite well, i live in a more rural town with lots of woods and im rarely in a bigger city
@RonKwok10 ай бұрын
Awesome to see you’ve dialed in your needs and can actively search for backpacks to fit that criteria. Have you checked out Mystery Ranch or GORUCK packs?

@@RonKwok i have tryed a vew backpacks before and this one i actually found on amazon, quite happy with it, but i will deffenetly check out the sites that you mentioned maybe i see something even better, i also ordered a slingbag from data crew, for when im going to crowded places, wanted to give that a try
@Losersluck_10 ай бұрын
Didn’t see anywhere on the site about where the bag is made. So I’d assume it’s not made in the US. That’s a made in US price point.
@RonKwok10 ай бұрын
Good insight here. First bag that comes to mind around that range is the legendary GORUCK GR1 at $400 and I’m looking forward to see how this bag holds up to others in the wild. Much appreciated
@jonathanklein787510 ай бұрын
This looks great, but it's about $200 too much (I'd say $169 would be a fair price). I need at some webbing on the staps to at least be able to add a sternum strap (20 liters can get plenty heavy). Also, those kind of zippers look cool but offer zero water resistance. I have some other Pioneer pouches/wallets and they are terrific and fairly priced. I'm not sure why these are priced so outrageously.
@RonKwok10 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! At the $369 price point what would you expect to see beyond the waterproofed zippers and webbing as a baseline?
@jonathanklein787510 ай бұрын
@RonKwok it's hard to say without handling the bag directly... I expect the bag's craftsmanship is impeccable (it better be!). I've handled bags in that price range, but with different priorities (Goruck, Waterfield, Mission Workshop, Evergoods/Carryology colab, Tom Bihn). If I'm gonna drop that kind of coin on a bag, it's really got to be dialed for my personal needs. (Edit: it's not a huge factor for me, but pretty much all the brands mentioned above are made in the USA. I know that Vietnam, for example, makes some incredible bags, but that also factors into the price factor. )

So this is just a big advertisement for the brand? I’ll pass. There was no opinions or anything of substance said in this video man, usually I would expect you to give your take and maybe some feedback but you’re kinda just gassing up everything without really saying much. This felt like a chatgpt written video tbh. No hate just really appreciate your more honest videos.

No water bottle pocket of any kind and you try to sell it as "revolutionary". AND at $369 bucks? For a mid pack like this, not even X-pac? I'll pass.

Definitely uncommon to see bottle storage accounted for internally, and I think they poured R&D into the build itself and materials they used. Thanks for the feedback!

MY $14 OUTDOOR PRODUCTS BAG HAS TWO 32OZ WATER BOTTLE POCKETS ON THE OUTSIDE WHY CAN'T THIS BAG NO EXCUSES AND I GOT MOLLE EVERYWHERE AS WELL AND AS MUCH STORAGE AS THIS AND IT IS ONLY 17L NO EXCUSES AND JUST A WASTE OF MONEY

For a 20L bag with even a few features that it are missing (for example, space for a water bottle)-no thanks!
@RonKwok10 ай бұрын
Nice insight. I think Pioneer Carry was to bring bottle carry internal, though that adds another step to retrieving your bottle when it’s time to drink (and takes away from internal storage for other things)
