An Interview With Diane Kruger

A lot of the show is about curiosity. Right now I'm in a curious situation, walking the streets of Los Angeles going to meet a beautiful talented German actress. She's adopted the city of Paris as home, yet travels regularly. It's either the setup for a European love story or a farce. We're about to find out which.

I'm German and I can hear it. I also live in the US and struggle with the sake issues she has. It's the way her voice sounds. Sometimes her mouth isn't relaxed enough so some of the vowels sound very short. Also, every word has the same stress which is a thing in German. We stress every word the same way. In English that sounds robotic. Listen to her again and compare it to the interviewer. She's good but I can tell that she's not a native speaker. But the fact that she got to this point just by osmosis is amazing.
