An interview with Dormouse about their Uganda 70% dark bar

The idea of the bar first emerged earlier this year upon hearing about the anti-LGBTQIA+ laws that were being enforced in Uganda, making all 'homosexual activity' illegal and punishable by life imprisonment or death, including people who do not report LGBTQIA+ activity.
Dormouse have created a new bar using Ugandan beans, not only to showcase the incredible cacao that is cultivated there, but also to raise awareness of these horrific laws. Every bar will include a donation to Rainbow Railroad, a global non-profit organisation that offers support to at-risk LGBTQIA+ people regarding issues such as emergency relocation, crisis responses, and financial assistance. All proceeds from this bar will go towards helping those whose environments are dangerous to them as LGBTQIA+ people.
Not only is this bar funding a hugely important cause, but it is also incredibly delicious! Enjoy tasting notes of roasted nuts, dates, and caramel in this smooth and mellow bar.
