Thank you for your video,I needed those kind of information and as you said, it is very hard to get some image about the size of the bag only looking at photos.

I love leather too! I like when it gets all scuffed and worn over time (is it called Patina?) it makes it more unique 😊 lovely bag!

That is an ahhhhmazing bag! Where in Kelowna did you purchase this from please? I am in the NWT in a remote and tiny town that has absolutely nowhere to purchase anything other than basic grocery items, so I am always interested in great sites for supplies - especially supporting our Canadian businesses. 😍🇨🇦 I couldn’t agree more with your feelings about wanting a fully functional knitting bag that doesn’t scream “Grandma’s Knitting Bag” (even though I’m a Grandma with a knitting bag LOL). It’s like how I first described my style aesthetic to my new hair stylist: just because I am a grandmother, I don’t need to LOOK like a grandmother! I will also be heading to the Island - but near the end of August - to visit family. Two of our children are posted to CFB Esquimalt so it is easy to see both families at once (our third child is ousted to CFB Edmonton now, so it’s nice to have them all much closer than having two on the east coat like it used to be). My point, however, is that I would love to have a stylish bag to take with me for the trip. And though I’m not a big orange fan, I am curious to see if it would be easier to see inside that bag. I found the black interior liner on your bag made it hard to see anything (but that could have just been the angle), and I have found the same issue with some handbags. A fun and light pattern would have elevated this stunning bag out of the stratosphere!

Hello, thanks for watching! The store in Kelowna is "Art of Yarn". I totally get what you're saying about visibility inside the bag. It was something I chose to accept by getting the black one. I don't knit with a lot of dark yarns and my notions are somewhat on the lighter side so, so far I haven't had too many issues. A fun light pattern inside would have been amazing! I believe the Whiskey coloured bag has a brown lining. Enjoy your trip to the island!

I’m thinking of purchasing this and was dithering between the standard or xl size. This was a really good review, thank you. Hope you’re still enjoying your bag.

Happy to hear it was helpful! I am enjoying the bag, although it's not the best for quick outings, it gets a lot of use at home and longer getaways.

Sorry another quick question - if you used the yarn from the bag, via the slots, does it catch on the zip? It looks as though it would. Unfortunately, it’s hard for me to actually see one of these bags ‘in the flesh’ I’m going purely by viewing on websites so very grateful for your excellent review. Since looking around I’ve also seen the Muud Bturn which I like. Decisions decisions!!

Hi Alison, no worries. The yarn can catch, but I found it rubs more than catches. I minimize it by turning the bag so the slots are directly facing me and somewhat adjusting the angle at which the yarn leaves the bag. And if you're using more than one strand, I recommend closing the snap tab so you have 2 separate yarn slots. Closing the tab is good for a single strand too as you can turn your bag so the yarn is running against that instead of the zipper. The Bturn looks lovely - I like the compartments, but my wips would be too big for this bag. Hope this helps!

Ive had this bag for hmm 2 years now i think its great i do find it a little awkward to wear cross body sometimes because it doesnt collapse at the top like a draw string bucket bag

Yes, I find cross body a bit awkward too. Lately, I've been comfortable with the strap on the shorter side and on one shoulder. How does your bag look and feel now? Did the leather become softer or change colour?
