Hooray for Blahaj! And cool stuff with Linux on PSP indeed. I remember seeing it a long time ago, same with Linux for Nintendo DS but never knew how to make use of it. When I did, I already had a ton of other machines and now, my PSP needs a new battery anyway :,D

Nintendo DS Linux would be super fun to take a look at! I've been after a DS for some time simply because I haven't ever owned one and there are a lot of games I'd like to play on it. However, when I do get one, DS Linux will definitely be something I look at :)

vi with face buttons and analog stick for input... now *that* is a fun fidget toy. :p The PSP-1000 (fat model) has an IrDA port. I wonder if this uClinux port supports that?

Oh I'd absolutely love to! PS3 Linux has always been really intriguing for me. The PSP has dual little endian MIPS32 processors based on the R4k

They do have an Android OS for it.. I know there's a raspberry pi OS for it... I know there's a way to run Windows 11 tiny version And there's a way to get Ubuntu, running and pop OS if I remember right

Oh? I'd be interested for more info on that :o The PSP runs on a MIPS processor, which isn't as widely supported these days.

@@europa6502 actually, it's extremely supported. If you look up some of the os's running off of some of the bootleg PSP systems coming from China, you'll actually find a lot of different types of OSS that you could use in order to be able to unlock the hidden power of the PSP basically I also recommend ppsspp the application in order to test certain applications to make sure they are also able to run with Android so that you can compile them properly But there's actually a lot you can do with that system and there's a lot of sites that are just inactive now They're still up though. You should check into them

The biggest struggle I could foresee is if NetBSD would run on something without an MMU, which I'm not entirely sure. That's the main reason uClinux was chosen for this I'm fairly sure - given the PSP lacks an MMU and uClinux has MIPS support.

I don't know if it'd work on a PS Vita. I know that the PS Vita uses emulation for backward compatibility, which could be an issue considering that I tried running the EBOOT file in PPSSPP (that'd make development of software easier) and it crashed the emulator. I'd be interested to know if it'd work though.
