This video exposes the lack of knowledge by the police department. Sad state of reality when our constitution is trampled on without a pause.

God wants people to be filmed in public going about their daily life ?

@@BilTuckerYes. God can see everything that has, is or will happen in the universe all at the same time. We were made in his image and the camera is a modern marvel invented from the ingenuity of men imbued with the wisdom of God and it allows us to harness a fleeting image of God’s power.

I 100% support this. People need a reminder of the role of government, the actual laws and how shit works. So many people, cops included, have no fuckin clue how robust the Constitution actually is in protecting our rights and WAY too many people are afraid to stand up for themselves and are just blindly obedient to power hungry or corrupt public officials. You can legally record anyone or anything, virtually anywhere, in public in the whole ass country. Just because a city makes up a rule or law, if it violates the Constitution and isn't in accordance with any higher court rulings, it doesn't matter and you will almost certainly win in court even if you did break some arbitrary municipal rule. Unfortunately, just going through the system can be punishment enough sometimes.

Im here in Tulsa, OK... We had a 1st amendment auditor locate the DAs office...the attitude of the public employees working there was very telling... Either these public servants are ill-educated by design or ignorant by choice. The deliberate ignoring of our Constitutional and civil rights as citizens is tantamount to dictatorship. Here.In America.😮 Transparency and accountability is refused under the false guise of public safety...they are the real danger yo free people. We are the public. We want to know what our government is doing. Servants not overlords.

This report is so incredibly biased. This report is so incredibly biased.. The reporter did not even mention Is the incredible violation of the violent attack that occurred against the videographer. Notice how the police said in one momen.....This was a training opportunity.... .And then in the next moment said that these audits are not necessary and pull them away from other duties. It's quite clear auditing , CAUSED these deputies to be trained!!!

I appreciate the purpose these "auditors" try to pursue, and I'm not talking about this guy specifically, but they cause more unnecessary problems than they cure. This guy seems ok, and the dude that originally started doing this does a great service to the community, but all the wannabe copy cats are just a nuisance and intentionally cause drama for the sake of profits from the video. Same with the guys purposely getting pulled over to be activist pricks until a cop makes a minor mistake that gets blown up online. These often lead to the end of the officers career, people threatening their family, and having to move away. Of course there's legitimate bad actors in government and law enforcement, but 90% of what I see are honest mistakes that should have ended with them learning how they were wrong and moving on to be better at their job. Police forces are lowering their standards for employment because nobody wants to be a cop anymore due to how scrutinized the jobs become and how they're treated by the public. So this whole audit thing that's supposed to help fix the problem has actually led to the hiring of less qualified people and making it worse. Since everyone has a camera in their pockets, all we see are endless streams of shitty government workers and bad cops and it makes us want to believe they're all bad as a whole. But that's not true. The crappy ones we see represent less than 1% of the respective fields of great, hard working, dedicated people that are all getting fucked over from the public perception based on what's blown up in the media and online. It's so crappy and we're all worse off and less safe because of it. Sorry i rambled all over trying to get to my point. This issue really hits my emotions hard.

How can police departments not be aware of what people rights are according to the first amendment as the first amendment has. Even around how long ? There is absolutely no excuse for a cop not to know what citizens rights are. Why would they need to use this video as a training tool as they should already be trained to what the constitution said before they are even put on the streets. After all they did swear a oath to the constitution are they saying that they never had any training. If that is the case why would they swear they will defend it if they don’t know what it is.

your news coverage is bias and misleading there no restriction on recording public and public accessable areas in library unless it is restricted because of certain events like yoga classes etc otherwise time place and manner are the requirements , in plain english if it is open for business and publicly accessable then you can not be forced to leave without breaking a law and secondly filming in public is a constitutionally protected right , professional journalism requires you do proper research and not sprout opinion pieces to to public that suit you bias agenda.disgracefull behavior and not appropriate
