I have been a Druid for about 6 years now, I too was brought up with harsh Christian "values". I learned from the great Goddess Mother Earth that my life is mine and she is full of love and guidance. I am so proud of you Collette, you are a Divine Representation of the Goddess!! Love and light be with you always. :)

Oh, and I forgot to mention that my father was an Episcopal priest, and my mother felt a great deal of pressure to present a certain image if you will as the priest's wife to the parishioners and our community. Looking back, I can understand that she felt such pressure. Like all mothers, she did the best she could, and it was challenging, wonderful, and flawed. ❤

Colette thank you for sharing your journey with us. I too felt like I had fallen away from Catholicism. I searched deep in my heart to find that the divine is everywhere, including myself. I stopped with the guilt and shame I had collected over the years (that catholic guilt goes deep) and built myself back up. Being pagan means, for me, that I can take power into my own hands to make this life beautiful. All while finding beauty in literature, science, and learning about aspects of other religions that bring me joy and peace. It's been liberating, so humbling, and a real privilege to have tapped into the divine feminine.

I look forward each day to the next moments in your journey and reflect on mine as you walk and talk. I too as a child found solace in sitting in church in a little country town. Most Sundays I took myself there. As I got older it became the basis for my life of discovery of Spirit and all that is. Our journey here on this beautiful planet is one of continual growth along with Earth herself. We too are having storms and so far over a week of almost continual rain. Mother Earth will balance and protect herself I have no doubt. I do love her so. We are in Spring and I look out my window at a rainforest tree in bloom. The tree is covered in green leaves but every so often offers up the brightest of red leaf which says 'look at me'. I wish I could show you. I walk upon her softly and am grateful for all she gives me in return. I love to see the reflection of you in the mirror...it makes saying hello all that more real. Blessings your way Colette. I am a newcomer to your channel Colette and all I can say is thankyou. You are speaking to my soul, I find myself agreeing and nodding as you speak. At 52 and at the end of the madness that is menopause I find myself a totally different person than I was before. I come from a religious family, my uncle was a priest up until his passing last year and I was raised in church. I found myself questioning more and more why everything was so "masculine" when the planet obviously was not. As a child I was severely reprimanded for asking "but what about the goddess?" at Sunday school. It made sense to me that everything is in balance and you can't have one without the other... not something my Sunday school teachers appreciated apparently. I've always been spiritual but never found my niche, at last I think I'm here. I could write so much more but this is a 2 year old video and your time is in great demand. Thankyou Colette, Jack is wonderful too xXx

And your video appears in front of my eyes with this beautiful cottage that I dream of, the garden, the trees that I dream of. I bought a portion of land, a small farm in the south of my country Chile, that it's so similar to Ireland. And I'm going to live there within 5 years. I want to prepare there a sacred place to the Goddess, near the nature, listening to the wind, the trees, the river. I'm so happy for you, it's a beautiful place. Sorry for my English

Ive been living as a Gaelic Pagen since I've been 15. Despite my Catholic upbringing here in Cork, I always felt curious about living happy and acknowledging what my acestors believed. They were closer to the next life and I truley believe that. Year later I live a much more simplified life. I don't have a television, I don’t watch or keep up with news unless its information that is essential to my life and surroundings. I work and when I get home I always stay outside in hail, rain or snow and feel my surroundings. I acknowledge all the Irish Pagen Gods at the beginning of every season with a day of learning and reading about each one and how they can teach me how to be a better person to everything around me. Thank you for sharing your little bit of paradise with us.

I used to smoke, but stopped, im vegeterian,i dont believe in coicidences,i worried that changing from christianity to Paganism would have a bad effect on my life & i would be damned, lol, i cant belive i was so stupid. I have never been so happy , since i became a Pagan a few years ago i feel i can see the good in people , & i have been able to open my heart much more . I also love beautiful Mother Earth , walking in Nature, being a volunteer , the ancient woodlands, trees, bird song, ect. I just love everything that Mother Earth has created.

Beautifully put Colette. I stopped going to church just over 2 yrs ago and you're right, it's difficult to let all that go because it does become deeply embedded. I have respect for my friends who continue on that path but I am on a new one now. I do feel freer and feel like the best is yet to come. Here's to freedom and beauty and individuality...Here's to life and energy....Here's to love and compassion. May we all know these things on our life's journey ❤

I recently found your channel and believe that it was not a coincidence :-). I have been going through a big transformation in my life within the past several years, removing all the layers of conditioning and learning to let go. I quit smoking, rarely drink alcohol, and am working towards becoming a vegan (not 100% there yet). I've become obsessed with studying herbs and plants, and a strong desire to buy land and 'just plant' as you have phrased it in another video. But not just to plant, but to protect. Since I was a child, I always felt something very important was missing from church (and my mom felt the same way). It was Mother Nature. She is not missing from my life anymore, and I am at peace and finally moving forward on my spiritual path. Thank you for all your videos and sharing your story. You are truly an inspiration. Many blessings to you.

Oh my, Colette, I don't know how this video came up, but I feel that I was guided to it because I needed to hear the messages you impart. My mother discouraged the five of us from expressing our feelings, which resulted in supressing feelings and becoming disconnected from them in my case.😢 This was terribly unhealthy for me. I think it caused the anxiety that I live with today, which is worse than it has ever been. The funny thing is that I have always loved nature and felt whole and connected when I was outside. That connection continues to be my salvation to this day. My father called me a force of nature for years, so perhaps he recognized that aspect of my spirit. In any case, I just want to thank you for your videos and walks. I experienced a beautiful and healing discovery this evening. I am ever so grateful to you. 🙏 Love and blessings to you and yours.❤

I am so grateful to have found your videos at a time in my life that not much in the world makes sense or even matters to me anymore. Thank you Colette for showing me that another world is entirely possible and helping me to see a glimpse of my ancestors' connection with the Earth from long long ago. A few generations back they were flax farmers in Ireland before emigrating to Canada through England as I have recently discovered.

Your cottage and gardens are beautiful Colette. Jack is just like my Springer spaniel snoopy who also likes his squeaky toys. His favourite game at the moment is fetch with a light up ball! Your little cat on the sofa reminded me of my little black cat called velvet who died last Feb. 22 years of age. My eldest brother Chris died last year also from liver cancer. I'm finding my garden to be a very healing place too. Nature nurtures us gently and tenderly until we feel whole.

Ooh. I would love to have one of those oak leaves. They are really special. You look mah-valous Colette. I think one of the main reasons why I follow you is because of your beliefs and how you approach Mother Nature and also the lure of Celtic ancestral beliefs. I know this is an older video, but it really spoke to me. My mother, raised strict Irish catholic, encouraged her children to explore the many other religions. What I discovered was that the main principle for them all is simply to be a good person. The rest is, as you called it, manmade dogma. I don't need robed men standing between me and spirituality, forcing their interpretations on me. I truly don't care what some guy thousands of miles away in a walled city thinks about how I, and everyone else, should think, feel, and live. Going back to my Celtic roots, back to nature, has felt like coming home. I can speak to the divine on a walk through the forest, instead of going to a certain building at a certain time, sitting sleepily while someone drones on about long dead men's opinions on how I should feel/behave, putting my money in a tray and paying a middle man to speak to the divine FOR me. They've had their way for 2,000 years, and here we are. Let's give Mother Earth a chance.

i know this is 5 years ago now but. I came across this video randomly, it played after a video I selected. And I just let it. Because everything I saw, heard, listened to felt like home. And I mean an old, old, home. like something I cannot explain but my ancestors may. The wind chimes, the decorations in the trees, the happy dog, the windy and stormy weather. All reminded me of being a little girl growing up at my own grandmas. then you mentioned a calling to Ireland. Im from the US, so I don't know my right to say so, but I feel that way. i grew up surrounded by books on Ireland, being told about Irish gods or goddesses, feeling so in tune with nature.grandma always taught me to appreciate nature and take care of the animals. nature is us. love love love your home

"You must live your own journey." Excellent advice. Many never take the time to reflect what their individual journey might be. We probably all need to slow down and reflect. Being in nature, walking, even sitting in a meadow calms and expand the mind, and puts us in touch with our inner selves, and can shine a light on the path we were meant to take.

This is quite possibly the most emotional I’ve been at a KZbin video. Whilst I wasn’t born in Ireland, my grandparents (both sides) are from Ireland, 3 are from the north and 1 from the republic. I am drawn to start my path in Irish paganism and really understand the folklore of my ancestry. I just know that I’ll end up there with my own little plot land, cottage and trees. I’ve just realised there’s others like me….

Wow! This is my story, too. ❤ I'm chomping at the bit to get to my land and be one with nature. I'm having such a difficult time with Time itself. Patience is a virtue until you're compelled to execute your calling. Some people just don't understand that. ❤ At some point, the coincidences become too overwhelming and cross the line into signs. It's strange, too, that my eating habits have changed. I quit all alcohol. I also know that I'll quit smoking when I'm living on my land and in my cottage in Missouri. Out of the blue, I'm making tinctures and elixirs, and studying healing herbs. Who am I?? I can't answer that yet, but I really like who I'm becoming. Soon I will love and appreciate who I am and my intimate connection with nature. I'm from upstate NY and will be leaving my family behind when I move. Perhaps that's why Time is holding me back; to learn to let them go without guilt.

I'm very new to following Vlogs. I've too taken up with my own spiritual, permacultural and self sufficiency path whilst living frugally to pay my mortgage for my own land and look after my family. I stumbled across your channel by chance and very grateful that I did. Its such a comfort to find a like minded, down to earth soul I can relate too. I am really enjoying your videos, it will take me a long time to go through them as you are so prolific. So thank you Colette for being so open and sharing your deep experiences, philosophy and life with us. Blessings upon you and yours.

Well done on letting go of Catholicism and all the other things and living a spiritual life close to the Earth. I have an allotment and love walking in nature and I'm spiritual rather than religious.

Your voice is beautiful telling such a wonderful truth of your thoughts and beliefs about our purpose on Earth. I love what you have done, and being compelled to do this with Mother Earth is surely a Sign Of The Times. It's is telling us to wake up! That it is TIME. I agree completely with your thoughts, ideas and beliefs of REAL love and beauty in Nature. I believe you are definitely on the right path of and for peace, joy compassion and Harmony in the changing Times we're experiencing and living in. It is a brave journey you have chosen. Mother Earth is very happy with your hearts intentions and continuous striving to make this Planet and Bealtaine Cottage so priceless and pure!

Thank you Sheila...we have been brainwashed to believe such nonsense about our existence...all in the relentless domination of us and Her. To see the truth is a liberation and is truly life-changing! Blessings to you XXX

Blessings to you, Colette. I used to be a heavy smoker too but a few years ago I had a respiratory emergency which landed me in the Emergency and then the ICU! But quitting smoking came naturally and I feel extremely uncomfortable about killing animals for food. I'm a Hindu which is a way of life that respects all life forms (a part of the Creator being present in all Creation) and I believe that living with Mother Earth is literally the earthing that we need to calm down our electric minds! Thank you for your videos and keep inspiring!

Your beautiful Colette! I was raised Episcopal but embraced my pagan spirituality around the age of 14. Without the Goddess I would not have had strength for many of my trials. My heritage is Irish and I think my spirituality was rather built into my soul. From my Great Grandmother who was Irish and Welsh that read the tea leaves and always told me to trust my own feelings to my hardworking Irish father and gentle mother. I never felt I let them down with my spiritually. I do believe we are close if not the same age Im almost 63 .Possibly a bit chubbier and worn from my pic a year ago but covid ,and Trump, lol have done that in the US. I just found this video and had to express how you truly touched my soul . I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Stay safe, stay healthy and Blessings.

How is it working for you with Biden now? Maybe food prices rising will help you be less “chubby”.

It's amazing how certain individuals are drawn to the old ancient ways. I live in America. We had a housing boom in my area that's never stopped. It grieves me to drive by and see random, cloned cheep homes going up. Built with no concern of the animals. The deer especially are being pushed to the limit. This peace and solace found in nature I couldn't match with any religion. It was freeing, loving, welcoming. During this current virus made me long for the out doors. After many many conversations with my husband we both spoke the words, the declaration "We Are more Pagan then Christian" .....Yes we are.

Re-watching this wonderful meditation, on 3 January 2023. I will be guided by you, deeper into my own pagan life, this year, Colette. ❤ I'm sure Jack is still playing happily in your beautiful woodland.
