Oh.....wow. Not only is this island incredibly inspirational, I was also positively struck by the fact that the island name comes from Finnish mythology. I'm a Finn, and I'm actively following the ACNH community but I never come across any islands or designs from Finnish creators.. it's not that they don't exist, but they blend in with their English names and popular cottage core designs. (I'm definitely one of them.) Nintendo is being inclusive by offering all sorts of items and clothing from different cultures, and we Finns (and I guess Nordics) have our own item in the game too - the sauna heater - but the Scandinavian culture is never really featured in any of the island designs. Even though the possibilities in this game are endless. So the moment I saw the name of this island, it really hit me -- the feeling of seeing a word in your own language, featured in a video seen by tens of thousands of people, it felt.... empowering. I think I might have a Finnish/Scandinavian theme on my next island, purely because of the inclusive, empowering feeling I got from this island tour. Thank you Joe ❤️ and thanks Chase!

I love how this island utilized two distinctively dichotomous theme to create an unique setting from them. Instead of solely base on aesthetics, this island feels rich in story, as if it is telling us a story or something. I absolutely love it! 😍🥰👍

This theme is absolutely incredible I love how creative everyone is in this game. We all start with the same base of an island with three levels, some rivers and a bunch of trees but everyone creates something so unique and it's beautiful.

Ive always wanted to have a themed island but I could never dedicate the time to get all the themed things and I could never settle on any theme. My island is 5 stars but it’s definitely just random areas all bunched together and not insanely decorated but decorated enough to be 5 stars. The island in this video is absolutely amazing and would take sooo much time since for most of this you can’t just make the items but you have to order them and wait for them to come (or time travel) and order more
