I enjoyed this song. I also liked the way the travelers in Ireland and Scotland respected the bothy etiquette. Especially in the Highlands. It was a pleasure to hike all day and come upon a neat little place to sleep and stay warm for the night(without money). I was a poor student at the time, but wanted to see the Highlands. I've never enjoyed myself so much as back then. This is a great song. It has that Gaelic spirit. Wonderful people.

I bet I'm the only black man in the United States that would love to learn to pronounce all the words! I've had their songs memorized for years! I'm constantly annoying my family and annoying the local Black Expo when I drive through blasting Anuna! I wish I could find a source that phonetically spells out the lyrics! I first heard Anuna on an NPR program called Music From The Hearts Of Space. I love them!

I showed this clip to my mom and she totally got hooked, kept on listening to the same song all evening! Sorry guys cant even imagine how you can compare them to Bothy; Bothy's good and original, but THIS is music from Heaven! To most of the listeners (unfortunately not fluent in Gaelic) it is not a song with lyrics, but Voice Music, much more awesome than any instrument, and my oh my, Anuna do it justice! Thank you for posting it, you really made my and my Mom's day!!!!!!!! HUGS

I'm a bit late in writing this as I've just got this version of the mouthsong Fionnghauala on You Tube after listening to the Bothy Band's version for years! Theirs is different than what Anuna sings and that is the problem: there are words to this song out there but you have to match the words to the right version of the song! I'm an American too and it took me years to dig this up as there were no computers to help me back then! I then ran into the fact that this was passed on by singers who took it to other singers and places where words were changed or mispronounced, (like the way New Yorker and a Tennessean don't say "can't' the same way) so there are different versions! Look up Colmhaltas Ceoltori Eirinn (a group that strives to preserve this type of music in Ireland) or email any of the bands that you have this from and see if you can get their version of it. There is one version on Google now but it's closer to The Bothy's version than this one. You might be able to fudge it though, as the words are very similar. Good luck! It's fun once you learn it!
