I love how the old bronco just rolled up that first obstacle easier than all the other rigs.

That's Jay; our CNC brake operator in the old Bronco. He's a great driver and fabricator. If you look close at the front bumper he built for it, you may notice it looks a lot like 3 of our JL front bumpers grafted together seamlessly 😅

I want to go back to Colorado and run as many B.O.H. Trails as i can in my Jeep Cherokee XJ, I did Imogene pass back in either '2019 or 2020 ,getting old and losing my memory ,in my 2000 TJ with the 2.5L and a 5 speed Manual Transmission, with 4:11's front and rear!❤

For the record, locals say "the mesa" when they're referring to Grand Mesa and "the monument" when they go up the Colorado National Monument, which is what you went up.

Howdy, friends. It's The Old Goat and Karl again. Been a minute, hasn't it? Glad to see a cousin Liberty making the obstacle look easy! Now I've tried to make him behave, but you guys remember how The Old Goat is so he asserts He could do that obstacle just as well and being svelt and skinny (unlike Karl -- sez Old Goat) Shades of Chinaman's Gulch! Me and The Old Goat surely do miss you. Hope to wheel together again someday.

You should get replacement water spouts for those rotopax fuel cans. Outside of the USA, they are sold for fuel & water. The “safety spouts” for the rotopax actually make things less safe and are very slow. It’ll be a good upgrade. I just bought mine from Amazon and recently topped off my fuel tank - what a difference!

As for your gas nozzle, take a valve stem, remove the valve core, drill a hole, insert valve stem. When you empty the can, remove the valve cover. It will vent and make the gas flow faster
@rcmike09

You can add a small o ring to the cap if your worried about leaks. Or, keep the valve core in and remove it when you need to empty. I have never had an issue tho

I was on my way to Gunnison, CO the other day and heard a weird noise that grew progressively louder as I drove. After 70 miles I heard a loud clunk and then it sounded like someone threw a socket set into a clothes dryer. Cost me $900 for a tow truck back to town. The shop told me the bolts on the ring gear backed out in the differential. At least now I know if I hear that to stop, d/c the driveshaft and make my way to a shop in 4wd to save a few thousand $.

Pretty incredible trail, indeed. Coming off the mesa with those tight switchbacks on loose rock and dirt is a challenge for all of us. One thing about this "turn assist" feature. It's very effective, but we must be mindful of the trail damage this can cause. On bare rock, no problem. On most steep switchbacks other than bare rock, not so good. 19:35 is a good example of the downside to this "drag you wheel" feature.
