@@MarkCalica singers, rappers, celebrities, anything else, but not idols. Do you think Fifty Harmony were idols? Or One Direction? Idols usually have a whole lot of people to do everything for them, from writing their songs, their rap lines, their outfits, where they'll sing or perform, what they can or can't say, and even what they should look like. XG doesn't have all that backup on them. Idols are made to be "perfect" so their team does everything for them, they just do what they are supposed to do. Ofc there are some few exeptions, like old groups, aka blackpink, twice and bts, who can write and direct their own stuff. But the famous and actual kpop groups can't. Idk if XG wrote all of their songs, xyphers, and voxes, but they probably did, considering their lyrics are not GENERIC like majority of the Kpop groups. Also their rap is beyond of any idol group, and the only people in Korea who can rap like that are solo rappers. If you don't belive me just watch their Xyphers. No wonder the #2 got viral on America in mid 2023, they did that like REAL tallented rappers who wrote their own lines. Also Idol is a korean concept, and its limited. XG has freedom for being different and doing things that idols would never be able to. Remmeber that Idols are supposed to "look" perfect, not to be perfect, and 95% of the time they really don't even put an effort into it. Since XG is a japanese group, the way they will be treated is different from what a western group would be, but its clear that there are HUGE differences between an idol and XG, and Avex themselves never even clarified what XG are, since they are an RnB, hip-hop & Pop group.
