The Goods lift with a center-opening 2-speed door is a Service Elevator, where as the goods lift with a Door and a gate behind it is a Freight Elevator

Ill be honest it would look nicer if it had normal walls but Im assuming since its still used as a freight elevator they put temporary walls up to protect the cab from damage

Yeah.. I like ThyssenKrupp. If they modded this while still keeping the elevator’s freight style character I would’ve been okay but you Simply CANNOT do a total replacement. I did come across a total replacement in Toronto but it had glass doors and the cab was quite unique..

I think the most likely reason they modernized it was because the doors on the old one were probably very heavy and employees were complaining about it so they added automatic doors to it and basically changed the whole cab

I remember my older sisters college dorm had a really old elevator in it I think it was an old otis since it had the diamond plate/industrial steel texture on the inner doors and the cab which you only see on really old elevators it was modernized with innovation security buttons but it was still cool to see a bit of history still on it Im not gonna give the location for privacy but just thought Id comment about it

Hey Dieselducy off topic but in Buckhead Atlanta by the Buckhead Hyatt house there is a 6 floor parking deck with a extremely low on oil elevator and it is really fun. It has been low for around a month and a half now.

This mod is a meh. I don't like how they went with horizontal doors. They aren't heavy duty when compared to the vertical sliding. They should've gone with Peele doors instead.
