Originally purchased to replace my father's similarly aged, but much more beat-up, Oldsmobile 88, this Volvo brick became my daily driver after some troubleshooting and learning.

You got a fair price for it and hopefully the repair fees don't break the bank either. These Volvos don't break a sweat even after traversing a battlefield.

Overall cheaper than a car, almost criminally cheap in this day and age. Old Volvo durability, I admit I downplayed the "terribly abused dirt road."

A 92? That's the second to last year they were produced, can't be that many of them left... Looks really solid as well not even any rust in the rockers nice car man!

@@Volvotryggve Definitely feels solid, unlike some other vehicles I've driven.

Lovely car, isn't it? I've got one myself, a wagon with the 5 speed manual. Yours sounds like it's in surprisingly good condition, does it have any blow-by issues? The PCV system often is full of gunk with how old these cars are. Also rear diff fluid, most people don't bother changing it. Good luck and have fun with this treasure. P.S. I love the thumbnail

@@wezerd Lovely car indeed. Not a concerning amount of blow-by as far as I can tell. The PCV and flame trap are most likely clogged, the telltale being oil leaking out of the filler cap despite the seal being intact. The person who's done oil changes on the car did pull samples out of the rear end, and he didn't seem too concerned. I was intending to put the drawing in the video, but the editing program wasn't havin' it.

Probably needs a new fuel pressure regulator. Cures 99% of issues re red block engines. Costs about £10 and takes 10 minutes to change 😁

@@newblackdog7827 Switching back to the old Bosch MAF sensor fixed the rough idle. I haven't noticed any other running issues since.
