Even I as an s23 ultra owners and samsung fan I admit Samsung has to work very hard with the z fold 6 because the competition has risen with the one plus open , Xiaomi Mix fold 3, and huawei . Innovation is a must. Although Samsung has my favorite software due to features like samsung tv , samsung health , Dex, Samsung members, samsung flow, customizable keyboard between g board and samsung keyboard , good lock , operation etc

NOW THAT is a PROPER unboxing experience for a phone that costs over a grand. Samsung is too comfortable scamming us out of our money. If the missing adapter is to "save the environment" those savings should be passed onto us.

Main thing I'd want a big display for- watching content. Aspect ratio causes huge black bars to reduce your video size to as small or smaller than a "regular" phone.

That would diminish the experience of viewing photos (or IG if you're into that). Theres nothing like looking at beautiful photos on a foldable.

Got mine yesterday. Never really wanted a folding phone. But after the Open I can see use for one. Particularly as a business phone. Still prefer the normal phone setup. But it’s OP so I had to get it. It is a bit thicker than a normal phone. Not unmanageable. On a side note. You have the option of using your old OP to set up this device with a usbc to usbc cable. It set my Open up probably in a minute or less. Crazy fast. I still have to put in user name and password for my apps. But it transferred everything and began downloading all the apps that I have on my 11. Still many things I don’t understand about this phone, but in time I’ll figure it out.

When held 90 degrees in landscape orientation the black bars above and below the video are huge ! Looks better on the z fold 5 imo

The biggest turn off for me is that there is barely and cases available for the phone and no local support if the device craps out. Also the fast charging only works with their warp chargers and not others.

It’s the same with Samsung devices that got quick charging as well. But don’t really care about charging that quick since I don’t use it everyday. I find the feature a tad overrated and not worth the cost. Maybe when my charging port block fails, i might reconsider.

I agree with your assessment. When I used Android, OnePlus was that phone. When I saw the fold, I could not get past the crease. But this phone I might pick up next summer if the price is right by then. Later.

ayooo, this software is horrendous. Im exaggerating but the software needs polish and some apps for some reason have bad display effects (running lower than 120Hz). They need to work on a better iteration, but its a good first stab.

@@DUICE08 No, I genuinely like the Fold 5. In fact, I switched over completely from having iphone 13 pro and fold 5 to just having the fold 5. I actually like the narrow front screen because I am a woman and have smaller hands. I do like having more options on angles. Learn reading comprehension.
