Hi! I hope this isn’t too strange but thank you so much for taking so long to update. I want to be a mom someday but being a mom and working and doing a lot of chores and still having some time to play games all seem daunting, so I love to see it when parents take a good amount of time off to adjust. Thank you so much for setting an example of what I can hope to be in the future.

LOL... OVERDUE for sure. Yet, nothing taken away from all this OVERCUTE! I love how good Lily is with him and all the other changes in her life. I love the layout and look of the new place. I've never understood the whole Japanese "family bathing together" thing. We just did ours in the kitchen sink until they were old enough. Much less bending over that way. We had those hose-spray faucets, so that made the whole process and clean-up easy

no way. Its been a year? I could swear boss baby was born a week ago!! Omg. happy belated birthday big girl!! 🎉🎉❤❤ My mom bathed me in the baby tub in a bedroom (so i wouldn't get cold lol!) for a long time after they officially tell you to use a regular tub haha. And then she bought a bigger baby tub when i outgrew the smaller one. 😂

Wow can’t believe time flies & little Shacho is already a year old! You all make a beautiful family! It is so precious how Lilly is very patient with her & how close both of them will become. My cousin’s daughter grew up with one of their current dogs Peanut, as babies & she always like to sleep with her on the couch together. Has Shacho started to walk already or taken her first couple of steps?

Congrats on the baby's first birthday! I'm glad that you and your family are doing well. I can't wait to see more of your guy's life in Japan. Also, off topic, but do women breastfeed in public in Japan? I know in America some people make a big fuss over it. I was wondering about Japanese culture.

As far as I've seen it's not really mainstream here, but I haven't seen a big *fuss* about it either. There are so many nursing stations and public nursing pods that most of my mom friends just kind of use apps/research/plan for this. In my experience, I didn't really have to time to duck away and miss things every snaccbreak so I would either sneak breastfeed on trains, in parks or restaurants with a privacy blanket. Alternatively I noticed my new mom friends would rather sit in a normal bathroom if they had to (even if it had no specific nursing facilities) than nurse at a restaurant table etc. My veteran mom friends were more casual and would sneak things under a privacy cape etc. Tl/Dr.... Seems like it's not a big discussion like in the states but breastfeeding in public is generally not seen usually.

US citizen! The states are one of the unique places where you are granted citizenship places just by being born there. In most countries (Japan included) you take on whatever your parents nationality is.
