Love the jigs you made. Sound wood working/luthier practices with terrific results. Thank you.

Thank you. First i admire you project. Turned out great. Second one is: Did you dome the back or the top or both are straight?
@OpenWoodShop3 жыл бұрын
No they are flat. I'll have another cigar box done soon and then a few with regular bodies that will be domed.

@@OpenWoodShop I asked because i was thinking on building a box guitar and you have build it the same way i had in mind. The sides and the back of my box will be walnut wood 6mm thick or less. The top spruce 3 or 5 mm thick. Cherry neck and walnut fretboard. Inside i will make a little bit of traditional bracing and use kerfed linings. And to protect it i will put bending all around the corners. I'm planing to use the classical guitar neck joint, no dovetail. My concern is if I shoule let the soundboard flat or giving a dome. If I left it flat, should I make the neck angle?

@@irisiris3842 On a ukulele there is no neck angle if the top is flat. Here is a set of plans that I used and should help you in visualizing what you want: cdn.senaterace2012.com/wp-content/uploads/soprano-ukulele_104081.jpg Good luck!
