An overview of the Standard Notes note type multi-editor system

I am a Proton user and I came to check what Standard Notes would offer me. This video got me excited. Super looks very cool. I've been trying different note-taking apps for a while and I haven't found a perfect one that is feature-rich, private and affordable. I guess that, if Standard Notes Premium gets included in my Proton Unlimited account, it will check all those boxes.

As a long-time Standard Notes user, I was excited to hear about the acquisition! We'll see how Proton integrates it, but I also think it's well worth the $90 per year on its own. You can also purchase the $120 per year option to share the benefits (and the storage quota) with up to 5 other people's accounts.

Is it possible to add due dates AND recurring due dates to checklist items?

What happens if you have a subscription for a year create a bunch of super notes and authenticators then you stop paying for the subscription. Do all the notes revert back to pain text or do I keep the notes and I’m unable to create new ones that aren’t plain text.

When your subscription expires, the Super note type and other premium note types will enter into read-only mode. You can switch those notes to plain text at any time. For Super, when you switch back to plain text, you'll be presented with a window that will show you how the plaintext representation of your Super text will look before you proceed (it will be converted to Markdown essentially).

I've always loved reading your blog posts, so I'm really happy to see you doing videos now. :) One huge request I have is for you to record a sort of "day in the life" video of how you use Standard Notes, with a focus on the new Super editor. Like how you manage & track your tasks/todo's, how you utilize tables, etc. I feel like I'm missing a lot since you guys are not real good (yet) about documenting new features and how to use them. Sorry... Just being honest. For example, when I create a table in the Super note editor, I cannot figure out how to modify it such as adding more columns, rows, deleting columns/rows, etc. Is it even possible? And I had to email support because I couldn't figure out how to use the new Daily Notebook feature (which I love BTW).

Hi Dave, same here. I just realized there's the feature to record day in life from SN blog but I couldn't find it on the apps. About the table, yeah I felt that too, I couldn't find how to delete rows or columns.

Thanks for the video, very informative! Only slight bummer: The app window in the video is rather small relative to the video size, making it somewhat hard to read the contents when watching even on an average laptop screen.

The Super Note editor is really cool. One question: how do you delete rows or columns in tables on mobile and desktop within the Super Note type?

I guess you uploaded the picture to Standard Notes before embedding it in the Supernote. How much space does the user have to upload pictures and videoes?

I'm using a pro account and I created a subtag, but I don't see the subtags when I try adding a tag to a not. Can you explain how to use subtags please. Thanks!

How can I delete an attached file from the store? I deleted the object from the note, but the file is still there when I use the @ menu.

Can you paste a screenshot image inside a note? Or do you have to "attach" it?

If you us the Super editor note type, you can paste the screenshot directly inside a note.

Is it possible to convert a heading in a super note from say h2 to h3, or do I have to rewrite the heading?

Yup, it's possible. You can go to the end of the line, add a space, type / to bring up the block selector, then select the desired heading size.

Nice app but you gotta pay for checklists? Insane imo. The paid features should be the 2fa etc, not the badic stuff
