This was great, thanks, I have been researching "tennis elbow brace walgreens" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Eiyamilla Reputable Expediency - (just google it ) ? It is a great exclusive guide for discovering how to end your tennis elbow problem without the normal expense. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my mate got great success with it.

Do u think portable ultrasound machine will benefits joint swelling from psoriatic arthritis? Its kind of solf tissues around joint swelling. Thanks for ur opinions.. r u physiotherapists or?
@HamzaKhan-yn4ij6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Yingka All is well in my world for your comment! The only thing I know is that if there is joint swelling, then this therapy is not the best option because heat is known to increase blood flow to an area which would actually promote swelling. I hope this helps! And I am not a physiotherapist :)
@jason6185 жыл бұрын
I use it for tendons only
@sumanmondal15774 жыл бұрын
@@HamzaKhan-yn4ij Ultrasound therapy has non thermal effect too. We apply it over swollen area in pulse mode. In this mode Ultrasound generates very little to no heat. Ought to know, swelling has classifications. If swelling is due to inflammation, ultrasound would work. But, if the swelling is due to edema or effusion, ultrasound would have nothing to do.

This seems to contradict modern sports physiotherapy which promotes ice packs and ice baths to reduce inflammation and stem tear injuries
@gilroughdraftvideos50485 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your input here! You raise a very interesting point here! I have also learned that at the moment there is not enough research to confirm the reduced inflammation effect with ice

There is little to no peer reviewed evidence that ultrasound treatment modality is effective in healing injuries
@sumanmondal15774 жыл бұрын
Icing and ultrasound therapy, both are useful for pain relief and to reduce inflammation. However, the working processes are different. The video is only talking about the thermal effect of ultrasound. But the therapy has a non thermal effect too. • We use ultrasound therapy (UST) in continuous mode (the thermal effect) to reduce pain. It increases bloodflow to the pain or tender area. Increased blood circulation flushes out the chemical mediators which causes the pain. • We use UST in PULSE MODE (the non thermal effect) to reduce inflammation. In this mode the soundwave penetration gets paused and resumed alternatively that dosen't allow heat generation over the treatment area. • Icing works better in acute conditions and gives a fast relief in either case, pain relief and reduce inflammation. Icing restricts bloodflow to the treatment area by constricting vessels. Thus reduces inflammation. Besides, it temporarily reduce sensory nerve activity thus pain feels less or no pain at all. But as I said, this works best in acute condition and for minor injuries. For chronic condition & relatively more severe injury, ULTRASOUND THERAPY works better in long run. Ought to know, icing may reduce inflammation & pain sensation but it dosen't promot healing. Besides, its not good to take for a longer period of time as reduced blood flow won't let the nutrients to reach therefore healing would be interrupted. On the other hand, UST may not act that fast as icing does but UST promotes tissue healing by supplying adequate nutrients by increasing bloodflow.

Would this help plantar faciatis (heel pain) ?
@Davesville264 жыл бұрын
I had planter faciatis for over a year, had all sorts of heal inserts , nothing worked until I got 1 session a week for 6 weeks of ultrasound, problem solved and it hasn’t returned.

Yes, I have used it on mine. Helps I have a home unit. Us 2000 2nd edition. Comes out way cheapter to buy then per session. $150 to own and use as much as I want, instead of $100-$200 a sesssion at local office. Paid for it's self after 1st use

@Sasmita Samal Not at all.. unless one holds the ultrasound probe in one place constantly at least for 5 to 6 seconds. Despite that you won't feel pain if you have enough muscle mass where the probe is held constantly.

Let's get something straight here. In the 2020 broken (well...actually meant to be that way, so technically not "broken") U.S. gouge away healthcare system, the physical therapists and chiropractors keep the ultrasound carrot dangling and out of reach in order to milk you for a lot of visits before they finally fix you with the ultrasound. Moral of the story....buy your own for the cost of one useless 'think happy thoughts' visit with the PT. Hey, sorry to be frugal but that's the game and I didn't break it but if I play by the rules I will go broke....hence...opioid epidemic.
@ailuianele2 жыл бұрын
that's not really how things work also, outside of the US they don't stuff you with opioids
