Using a staff on hikes is highly underrated. A good sturdy walking stick is invaluable. I'm in my 65th year on this big mud ball so it's a mainstay for me. As always love the scenic beauty. Your craftsmanship is awesome. Nothing better to calm the mind than natures beauty. Thanks for the camaraderie via video.

I've had the BPS B1 for awhile now and getting ready to take it on a week long vacation to play some more. So far it has not let me down.

Yes, I'm very happy with it and I'm not afraid to use it in many circumstances. For the price, I can get multiple ones. They make for great gifts as well.

At 10:49 awesome way to split small kindling… great job as always!! Your filming just keeps getting better and better!( centering your shots, angles are perfect capturing streams and background. Seriously well done! I have a bunch of the bps knives.. and love every single one of them. Each design is useful in their own way, and some are just all around perfect knives imo. Easy to sharpen or touch up. And I haven’t damaged or broken one yet. After several years of hard use on most of them. Like you I spend a lot of time “bushcrafting “ and they are always on my hip and in my pack! Cheers mate, another great video thank you!

Hi Jk, yes am on a journey of improvement. thank you so much for recognising such. Filming Bushcraft involves quite a variety of skills and filming was the least of mine. It’s been fun learning how to communicate and make my adventures more pleasing to watch and I have noticed I’ve have gotten better at it. Yes, the knives are worth it and I haven’t been disappointed since that is I own a few types of them myself. Thanks for your recognition and support my friend. Much appreciated!

Carn, nice to be out with you again. I love the areas you camp in. Hammock! Nice. I have a BPS knife like yours. Love it. Similar sheath and flint, but the back of my blade is straight and the edge curves up to meet it. Also like your French press. Good video my friend. Always relaxing. 😊

Hello Steven, well I’m glad to have you along and I’m happy I can share the beauty of this place with others. Yeah, BPS knife Is surprisingly great at a reasonable price. I will certainly bring it on many more adventures and not have to baby it as much. There’s nothing like freshly ground coffee in a wilderness and environment. It’s always nice to hear from you. Glad you enjoyed the outing. I’ll see you on the next adventure. Cheers mate

👍 Really enjoyable video. Your videography is 1st class, giving us a true sense of the beauty in your part of the world. I do have a few questions: 1) I am seriously contemplating getting an Isle Royale Mini, what are your thoughts on this pack? 2) The meat you cooked on the sticks for dinner appeared to be ground beef, was it? If not, what was it? 3) You were drinking directly from the stream in your wood cup without purifying the water. I would never do that. What do you know that I clearly do not know? Thank you for sharing your adventures with us

Another awesome adventure!! Great review of the BPS knife. I have recently purchased one myself, but I have not had a chance to put it thru it's paces yet. I like the way you showed the knife in use and not in a fabricated lab test lol. Thats the way I would test it also. The corn on the cob got me though, and my mouth is still drooling from it!! I don't know the location you are in but it is an amazing place.

Hi Scott, thank you for the recognition. Yes, real-world application is the best judge of things. You will be very happy with your purchase, for the price you get a lot of value. You also don't have to baby it. As you saw corn-on-the-cob is an easy dish and it is so much better with a backdrop such as that. Thanks for coming along, mate. Cheers

Luv your videos! Nice to be reminded that you don't need a 2-3 hundred dollar knife to get out in the woods for some recharge time. so often we get too into the gear that I think that we forget the main point. To get out in the woods and do things!

So true indeed, the experience is priceless. As a child, I used to go to the woods with a Swiss knife and my school pack stuff with tins of tuna and string beans. Whatever I could scrape up and I would just build a shelter and a fire to keep warm. That was so much fun.

Beautiful woods. Do you worry about ticks at all in your area? Was wondering if you spray clothing with permethrin or DEET?
@TheLoreofBushcraft
@TheLoreofBushcraft 3 ай бұрын
Hello, indeed a lovely backdrop. I do spray with Permethrin and have Insect Shield chothing but it's the clothing that protects. On my body I use a self-made concoction know as Bug Dope. It's based on a Native American recipe that works very well against all bugs, but it's like putting oily molasses on yourself since Pine Tar and Castor oil are used in it.
