An UNBELIEVABLE Experience Giving Elephants a MUD BATH!!

Being so close to elephants was incredible! We went to the Ao Nang Elephant Sanctuary in Krabi, Thailand where you get to spend time with these majestic animals for several hours. We fed them, interacted with them, gave them a mud bath, bathed them in the river, and gave them some medicine. It was an unforgettable day!
For the second part of the day we got to take a mud bath with the elephants. It was so fun to get dirty and to rub mud all over the elephants. It was hilarious when the elephants would spray the muddy water and get it all over us. Once we were all a mess, we got to wash the elephants in the river. They loved it. So did we! It was amazing interacting with them so closely as we played in the water with them. We laughed as the big mama let out a huge stinky toot. Mom loved washing, hugging, and dancing with her big mama elephant.
Finally, we got to feed them their medicine that is mixed with coconut sugar. The baby elephant didn't quite like it. It must be an acquired taste. The older elephants loved it. It truly was an unbelievable day!

The thing that can protect the skin of elephants from insects and the harsh sunlight of Thailand is Mud & Dirt. Soaking in the mud helps the elephants' skin maintain their body temperature and protect them from insect bites. ❤

Elephants in all Sanctuaries are trained to behave themselves by the mahouts who take care of them! They’re so friendly and cute! Without the mahouts there with the elephants, you CANNOT and SHOULD NEVER approach them or just walk up to them thinking that they’ll never hurt you! Thanks for sharing your video with us! ❤❤❤
