We recommend planning for about two hours to explore the mine, in addition to the commute time from Bogota. The traffic is heavy but worth the wait to see this attraction.

Wear sturdy walking shoes as the ground is uneven

Buy your tickets at the hotel up the hill to save a few Pesos per ticket. We paid $25 USD per person
Use the restroom before you go into the mine as the first one you'll find inside is quite a ways away from the entrance.
