AN UNEXPECTED TRIP TO MADRID | DITL | TRAVEL VLOG

Hello everyone!
I hope you are okay today? I am TIRED, I stayed up late last night, editing, so I could be more flexible for the kids today during half term.
Last week I had the most amazing opportunity come my way and I was invited to attend an internal summit with Duracell in Madrid. I wasn't paid to make any content, but I thought it would be daft to pass up documenting such a big work milestone for me. I hope you enjoy coming along on my mini adventure! xx

I'm a 35 year-old mum of three, who lives in Cheshire, in the UK, and this is my small part of the online world, where I share parts of my life - whether that's the day-to-day stuff, motherhood, recipes, or all that other stuff that makes me, me. I'm married to Mark, who is honestly my best mate, and we have three children, Bill, Daisy and Stanley, and they seem to be growing up so darn fast these days. We have a golden retriever called Merlin, and two cats called Romeo and Elsa and...hang on, this is sounding a bit like a kid's essay at school isn't it? Sorry about that! I have the tendency to ramble a bit. Life did not go to plan for me, but I am very grateful for that, otherwise I wouldn't be where I am today.
As for this channel, you might find everything from food videos, clothing hauls, home updates, vlogs now and again, and some topics close to my heart, such as coparenting, mental health, hearing loss and Stickler Syndrome too. I am a very average mum, but I try my absolute best at whatever I do, and hopefully you enjoy following along!

Charlotte, so glad you got to experience something that I'm sure you'll look back on with pride, joy and satisfaction. The great bonus of travelling to Madrid❤ It's such a beautiful, majestic city. It offers soooo much. "El Corte Inglés" shopping heaven, gorg parks, museums, restaurants. Madrid airport is amazing/gorg. The list goes on. What a lovely hotel! Can you tell us the name? Was it a 5 star? I love Madrid, lived there for 2 years, but many years ago now! It's a great city, I enjoyed my time there. Well done you for taking the opportunity to go the event. I recently went on holiday by myself to Mallorca for a week. I hadn't been abroad for several years, but thought why not? Some people thought it was a silly idea, but I had a good time. The point is good for you for going by yourself to learn new experiences and have 'me' time, even though it was for work. ❤❤ Well done you! ☺️

CONGRATS! I couldn't be more pleased for you. Facing fears & insecurities paid off in such a lovely experience both personally & professionally. There is so much to enjoy in Madrid and you got a taste of things to come for another visit one day. You had earned the opportunity you were offered. A bit of luxury and time to yourself is always welcome. They are taking proper care of you and you are being asked to share - not anything you are unable to do.
