They really nailed Cell's personality being a mixture of Goku, Vegeta and Frieza (mainly, with a bit from the rest of the squad too), from his obsessive love of a challenge, to his overflowing self-confidence, to his complete lack of respect for life. And yet they also made him feel like a completely different and unique character, much props.

Love the way they made the goodbye scene. Also, just pointing this out because I notice people tend to forget it often, remember Goku can't teleport anywhere he wants. He has to use someone's energy as an anchor and teleport towards them, so he can't teleport to empty planets or the middle of space. His only options were to leave Cell on Earth where everyone there dies, take him to Namek and kill their entire race, or King Kai's planet where there's only 3 people aside from him. It was the smartest choice. I feel sometimes people give Goku a hard time for the decisions he makes, but forget that its usually the only option they have and blame him just because he's the one who has to make the call. But if he didn't, the others would've died 20 times by now.

Yup, plus it takes him some time to locate energy in a place he hasn't been to before so, in the short time he had, he had no choice but to pick a destination he already knew of.

Couldn't he just shoot a frikkin ki blast into deep space and lock on to it and teleport cell there as the blast was only strong enough to destroy a planet? Seems like toriyama just wanted a good reason to kill of goku to make gohan the new protagonists like he intended to after this Saga, but ultimately failed in the buu saga as fans didn't want that.

Episode 60 part2/3 is my absolute favorite of DBZA. I love what TFS did in this episode. One of the more serious episode in the entire series of DBZA but the sacrifice of goku and the ending of this episode are god tier. Episode 60 part 3/3 is even better though. Love your reaction

Basically his cells Made a back up of the power when he was perfect and by him self exploding he reset himself back to his perfect form and learned Instant transmission because of goku’s cell after the explosion
