This VIDEO IS CHANGING MY LIFE!!!! and bro I looovee hearing about the love triangle from you. You have this great storytelling flair and humor. I love your love for Will and how you’re like “no, ok but we hate him” at the end 💀😆 also the angst of him pushing her away - BRO THATS SO 2010s YA ROMANCE CORE, I LITERALLY SQUEALED. It’s so predictable but that’s why it’s great. Also you did a great job with the sucker punch emotion at the part of Thomas death 🥹🥹🥹 the way you told it was so good… I felt the pain… when he stops Will like “no-not a shadow hunter” 😭😭 thank you for making this fr it made my day 🫶🏼

Haha that’s valid! I probably wouldn’t like these books so much if it wasn’t for the nostalgia. But also my taste in books leans towards entertaining over well-written. My SUPER intellectual brain thinks the worst thing a book can be is boring

Lol I may never read these books for myself but I am loving watching someone very animatedly and excitedly talking about them. It’s like when a friend starts happily ranting about a hyper fixation, I love it! (I do not love the book’s implication that people who aren’t capable of having kids are “apart from being human” tho. That felt a little stinky even if that wasn’t the intent of the author.)

Okay I can’t believe I’m watching this for the damm first time today. So I got notes: 1) you: you’re probably falling asleep me: (screaming loudly in my kitchen) ahhhh I’m falling in love Results: my brother is currently terrified 2) I’m also your age and I do the same thing too when it comes to age, so the characters be at least 21. But honestly can we discuss why are there no books with 20 something adults and yet still embody that teen fantasy angst. Like we are not asking for to much at least AO3 still has our back but Jesus 3) amazing dedication by your efforts this is so cool and awesome 4) thank you
@bree10005 ай бұрын
Glad you’re enjoying the videos! And I totally agree about the lack of books with ya fantasy angst but 20-something year old characters. It does look like there’s starting to be a new category of book called New Adult, which is supposed to be similar pacing/styles as YA, but with adult characters. But there’s not a lot of books that fall in that category yet. I think cause of booktok and a lot of YA readers aging up, now there’s more of a demand for these kind of “New Adult” books

Its weird how the cassandra claire universe is that big, yet still, like she is at least caring a lot of the fantasy aspects. I thought the tv series wasnzt bad, it really captured that 2000 YA vibe, and like it got pretty decent, while alec and simon and magnus actors sure carry season 1 . But its amazing i actally like cleary season 3 and respect her. Ok i respect series carried by some actors actually getting very obvious better. Ok its fun for what it ius and like just the start is rough. Ok i respect it gets from cheesy ya to decent. And that like i even like clairy in 3 is, good growth.
@bree100010 ай бұрын
To be honest I didn’t watch past season 1 cause I didn’t like that they changed so much from the books. The show wasn’t for me, but it did introduce a lot of new fans to the shadowhunters universe so I appreciate it for that! And I do see the appeal of watching a slightly cheesy show. It can be so fun (I definitely have my guilty pleasure shows/books haha). And I totally agree about it capturing that 2000 ya vibe. And the actors for magnus, alec, and simon being the best

I am just now getting into TID and Clockwork Angel and I don’t have the book yet but I need I can’t wait until I get it. So thank you for this video and on TID. So Will is supposed to be the bad boy, right ? Also what’s so special about Magnus Bane ? Aside from his relationship with Alec which imho is very boring in TMI and TDA. Jace/Clary are also kind of boring the couple that imho are exciting are Simon/Isabel and we hardly get anything from them. Also I love the Clockwork Prince audiobook and I can’t wait to get to it because of the narrator which is also why I love City of Fallen Angels.😅😊 I love how it feels like I am listening to the audiobook 😅😊as I am watching this.😅😊 you have done an awesome an amazing job with your storytelling of TID 💯‼️ and I am watching this video also I love your props especially the Donald Duck and the shark gun 💯‼️💙🩵 ask love the images that you use for all the characters.
