The way this series gripped me as a child like no other television show could. 🤧 I forgot a lot of it now so it was fun and wild to get a recap of it! The ED plot is a big yikes though lol, but it also just looks like a young impressionable person emulating the fatphobia that was everywhere in the early 2000’s-10’s.

literally how is it a yikes. she portrays savannah’s ed thoughts as BAD. the devil on her shoulder represents her ed and the angel tells her to eat, tells her that hair would fall out. sage tells her to eat. sophie did nothing wrong in fact the exact opposite.

You think when Sophie was doing LPS Popular, she had the perception and writing skill to purposefully represent Saje as an ignorant boy from the 2000’s in order to comment on people’s misunderstanding of ED victims?? LPS Popular is fun and melodramatic but it’s not deep. Like Sophie wasn’t educated on how to properly and respectfully portray ED even if she understood it was a bad thing because media also taught her that. She was literally just playing it for drama and fun, she was a kid enamoured by teen drama. I’m not coming for Sophie because again, she was just a kid and it was just wild remembering the ED plot, but let’s be real, she obviously didn’t know the material she was handling.

I remember being soooo into lps, i still am even though i am 17 but not as much. i still own all my lps stuff that didn't get lost through the years. I was not rich or anything so I did not have much as many others did but i still appreciated the lps i do have. I always wanted the exact lps from LPS popular but idk where to get them now. I have a weiner dog but that was from the mommy and baby series i believe before lps switched to a new model of toys which everyone hated ofc... ty for making this because i remember watching it all but my kid brain did not understand it all lol. The chokehold lsp had on me as a kid. I would ask every birthday and Christmas for them. I would rewatch popular over and over and i would make similar storylines with mine (at one point shedding a tear cause I was so invested lol) i still have all my lsp stuff and I never plan on getting rid of it. The Josh and Lana Lawrence plot line has not gripped my thoughts for the past few years for me NOT to share my theory. It is hinted at that both Josh and Lana were kicked out of their previous home (they don’t have any parents or guardians when the school calls) and it is also hinted that both of them have some huge terrible secret. I believe that Josh is gay, and his sister Lana is extremely protective of this. It is mentioned by Alicia to Brooke that someone at school called Josh a name, before being yelled at or beat to shit by Lana (can’t remember which one lol), so this just further proves my point. Josh could have been outed at his old school, causing Lana to perhaps seriously assault someone in her brother’s name. I also think that the stalker watching Sage and Savannah could’ve been Josh, who maybe has a crush on Sage, but doesn’t know how to express that (coming from a homophobic family and never being allowed to be open about his sexuality) This is all just speculation of course but, Sophie, I am literally begging you to at least release the plots for the rest of the episodes if ur not gonna release the full series…

Also, to touch on the scene in which Savannah and Sage get stalked in those woods a little more, I forgot to mention that whoever was doing that, took photos of them. Perhaps Josh, with repressed feelings, took photos of the two kissing. Then, something happened in which someone (presumably the person who has been sending the threatening letters to Savannah) found them. I think it’s Brigitte and perhaps she blackmailed Josh, and is now using the photos to torment Brooke. Or, if you don’t like my Josh is gay theory, then maybe said person (probably Brigitte) took the photos. OR, perhaps the person (again probably Brigitte) paid someone else to take the photos, namely Lana, since she is working to afford their apartment.

I feel like Sophie would frame it in a more sinister manner to mislead us perhaps, but the fact that they ended up in Brooke’s hands one way or another just shows that whoever took them was either acting out of malice, or acting for someone else (who was acting out of malice) I don’t think Josh or Lana are random bad guys who showed up for no reason.
