I saw something similar a few weeks ago in springfield IL. It was in the evening, the trail started off white, but turned black, and continued across the sky in a NNW direction.

Interestingly Rigel Kentaurus (which offers conditions very similar to our solar system) is about 4.3 light years away. Travelling at 99% of the speed of light (and ignoring time for acceleration and deceleration) a ship travelling at sub-luminal speeds could reach Earth in about 4.2 years. However, taking into account time dilation within the ship, the occupants will only have travelled for 7 months. As a rough guide at 90% of the speed of light time dilates at around 50%.

it's from the mach 10+ aurora aircraft. guarantee, it leaves huge contrails for thousands of miles, and it can likely go to space without boosters, so that is probably it re-entering the atmosphere then maintaining mach 10+ speed to its destination.

Hmmm,,, the lighting after sundown can make a con-trail look dark and strange. I've seen plently that look a lot like that in the evening in the Eastern sky,,, and at the same time I've seen brightly lit ones in the Western sky. The video doesn't give many clues though.

Since then, and despite fears of being branded a spoil-sport one expert has suggested it might be a cloud ... you know, one of those fluffy-wuffy things that hang around up in the sky sometimes. I must admit, I have never actually seen one, but I bet they look just like that

It's Prince Edward Island, not "Prince Edward's Island", and it's a typical dark cloud against a light sky at sundown.

UFO over Canada is like saying UFO spotted over CHINA! A little too geographically vague. It's not that difficult. Canada is split into provinces (and territories (north)). Each province has a capital. Any address has three (or more) parts .. city (Montreal), province (Quebec), country (Canada). And it's not Prince Edwards Island it's Prince Edward Island (province) P.E.I. Charlottetown, PEI, CAN. She watched too much Gilligan's Island (Isle).

I believe fuel would've combusted after hitting the atmosphere, plus returning fuel to earth in this manner isn't standard practice for NASA. It looks like contrail of meteor, but meteors usually travel quickly, which is the reason I'm still stumped. :P

jets don't release all this amount of chem, missiles are faster and much higher. This reminds me of what happened in Cyberia in 1908. Locals' description of the flying object is quite similar to this one in the film. (Slow object with a huge tail of smoke behind it). When that object crashed the explosion was very likely nuclear. Recent research has found out that mutations happened to the environment in that area. nuclear explosion in 1908?!!!!!! This one could be a broken UFO.

I think we are becoming too accepting of all these abnormal things we see ever day. How does water vapor from a jet engine appear so thick? And yes I realize the sun is setting and there is a specific lighting factor=P To apply some critical thought, If you saw a jet engine pluming out thick smoke, would it make sense to be water particulate?
