What Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar, the erstwhile Emperor of Hindustan, had so meticulously built over the years, the notorious Aurangzeb had put into smithereens with just a single stroke ! Had Dara Shikoh been the Emperor in place of the Notorious Aurangzeb, as desired by Emperor Shah Jehan, their father, it would have been a different story altogether ! The sequence of events in the lndian History will amply testify to this historical fact ! The rest is history now !

Those ladies chose death because they must be aware with what Mughals used to do with women. King's invitation doesn't mean you either go or you will be hanged. This could be true for Mughal king but not true with the Indian king who knows what is 'Rajdharma' Just read about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's invitation to Jagadguru Saint Tukaram.
