Thank you so much for writing the book. My husband and I read it in the lead up to my tonsillectomy and it's been very helpful.

This will be interesting. My wife had this many years ago. She still had sore throats quite regularly. Best

really! I wonder if she had an intracapsular approach?

@@VikVeerENTSurgeon Hi Vik, I’m not sure, she unfortunately passed during Covid so l can’t verify, I recall her telling me she had the procedure before we met, I believe she was 16 when they removed her tonsils. Best

I am a long-distance runner, and I ran a marathon this March. Every time I run, even just about 100 meters, I feel extremely weak and need to breathe heavily for a long time. I can't walk or stand up because I'm too weak, and I continue to breathe heavily for another 30 minutes. My hands also become numb. I still cough up thick, white, saliva-like mucus (I have pictures of this), and my nose continues to run. One time, there were a few people smoking weed, and I smelled it briefly. I immediately left the restroom, but after walking a short distance, I fell down and couldn't walk anymore. I had to lie on the ground for an hour. Usually, I can't sleep more than 5 hours. I record my snoring when I sleep, and it sounds like a cow and is very, very loud. Even my parents can hear it from another room (maybe because of my tonsils after puberty). I always wake up with headaches and have to stay awake for a couple of hours. After that, my head starts hurting, and then I can go back to sleep for 2 or 3 hours. I always wake up feeling tired and never energetic. When I don't get good sleep, I get crazy headaches, mainly in the top left area, and I'm too weak to move. This happens most of the time during the day. I have always had headaches for the past few months, and on a scale of 1 to 10, it's a 4 or 5 and keeps increasing. I always feel tired, and it keeps increasing. When my head hurts badly, my emotions fluctuate a lot, and I get angry easily. When my head hurts, it really hurts badly-on a scale of 1 to 10, it's a 10. People around me send me to the nurse. This has happened a couple of times when it's more serious: I start breathing heavily, and my hands feel numb. I feel dizzy, and my whole body shakes. The nurse tested my blood pressure, which was around 170/100, and my pulse was 114. Keep in mind, I am a long-distance runner, and I run a marathon this March, so everything is supposed to be below average for a person. I even cry sometimes and lie on the ground for 2 hours.

An audio book would be amazing If anything Dr Veer, have you ever considered a second career as an audio book narrator? A very soothing voice that I could fall asleep too 😊😊😊

Thinking about it, but that sounds like this is more of an insomnia treatment.. hope you are well.

Is there anything in the book about having tonsils removed for recurring quinsy? Ive only had tonsilitus about 4 times in my life (47 years old) but somehow got a peritonsilar absess that keeps coming back
@VikVeerENTSurgeon9 күн бұрын
yes, but to save you some money it says that the guidelines state that 2 quinsy infections are reason enough to have a tonsillectomy.

Did you get your sense of smell back 100% ? Apologies, as it is unrelated ti what you posted but saw your video released 2 years ago and replying here since I`ve missed finding your follow up on that in case you happened to release one in the mean time. I just got hit by covid now for the 1st time and dealing with complete loss of smell.

Where can I find this book to purchase? I live in the US.

In terms of cost, how’s about making an ebook version at your cheaper price point but then maybe charge extra for a hardback paper version to help recoup some of the time and effort you spent writing it? I’d happily pay a premium for a first edition signed version lol😂😂😂
@VikVeerENTSurgeon3 ай бұрын
My plan is to do ebook first. if anyone reads it and there is a market for a physical book, then I will probably just ask Amazon. I believe they will force me to charge more, but i guess i will still have the cheap ebook version.
