They are like that on purpose. If they were faster and more fluid, it would be a lot harder for the player to dodge or react. Look at some gameplay for Dark Souls games as an example. Some of enemies have very slow and exaggerated moves to give the players a chance to dodge.

As a suggestion, is there a way to add a lock-on-target feature? I really love playing with the epic combat and third person mods, but sometimes the combat is tricky. But the only mod that kinda does that is for 1.16 :/ dont know if its too hard to code, just making the suggestion. Really loving the mod pack and I cant wait to see more from it :D

you guys should implement: · lock-on system that readjusts the camera dynamically depending on the height/position on screen of the enemy AND disables 360 movement while locked on an objective (to avoid breaking the dodge mechanic). · respawn system based on "checkpoints" (kinda like dark souls bonfires) that repels all type of monsters (repel, not kill, since that would be unbalanced), scattered all throughout the bigger dungeons (or only at the start for smaller ones) and the world as independent structures. when the players die, they can choose whether to respawn on the last checkpoint visited or on their beds. if the players choose to respawn on a bed, they can't kill themselves to respawn on the checkpoint afterwards, they gotta get there by other means. the players cannot craft/place checkpoints, but find and activate them. · parry system that simply freezes the parried foe/player for a while, with a little 1s/2s cooldown between uses to avoid exploiting. shields take 150% damage on parry. please consider it! :)

yea, and adding like sodium (there's a forge version if im not mistaken, and I think this is built on forge), they would both increase fps significantly, and distant horizons would make it so that you can increase your render distance to very high amounts if you have a beefy pc, but for me or other players with weaker pcs, I could still make my render distance higher without losing that much fps (i have around 5 render distance for around 40 avg fps without mods)

I like how in this videos it shows that you have to play like actual darksoul now: Wait till enemy perform animation + dodge/create distance = then attack 1 or 2 time --> repeat. And also the attack's slow enough to see coming so you can actually have blocking be more useful.

I kinda think there should be a way to increase the Epic Fight stamina system. I know it's more of an epic fight thing, but I do think it would be good to at least have a way to increase it to some degree so that you could dodge more than once with armor on without having to run away or taking damage while your stamina bar regenerates.

Dodge rolling seems to be very ineffective in the mod. Personally I think the Invincibility frames given by dodge rolling should be longer to make up for the lack of multidodge.

it'd be cool if attacking a dodging was connected to the paraglider mod. be nice for the stamina to have more use than sprinting and swimming. i also think a combination of leveling would be cool. i don't really like needing to do dungeons that after awhile, will stop being cool, to increase health. a choice between classic rpg leveling and botw's way would be good imo
