Good God these movies were my childhood. It’s a heart wrenching thing to listen to this music and think about how this adorable, now suddenly I realize how beautiful, dragon practically raised me. The music is touching, the story is charming, the animation is beautiful, and everything about the emotions that leak from the movies as a whole just make me appreciate it so much.

These movies(the first one especially) have been there for me when I needed something to think of instead, my parents went through a horrible divorce when I was 5 and this movie came out when I was so depressed I didn’t want to be anywhere but with my parents(I was rlly scared they would leave me too😣). It gave me hope and happiness and something to love and focus on during those really really hard times. And that song just makes me tear up sm, I remembering all the times I’ve watched it and all the times it made me happy when I was sobbing and panicking. I’m so so so thankful for this franchise, I might not be here if it wasn’t. The art is a MASTERPIECE by the way!! Sorry for ranting

HTTYD was the mark of my love for dragons. I watched the first movie when I was about 7 or 8. I loved Toothless so much that I made a crappy clay structure of him. Fast forward to now, I absolutely love dragons. I’m currently working on an Ancient Light Fury speedpaint, since I thought it’d be cool to imagine how the Light Fury would look in about 100 years.

He actually regrew his tail or hiccup made another black tail for him that works like the one in gift of the night fury but most likely he regrew his tail so yeah ^-^
