Her latest album "Bahia" - named after the neighborhood in Havana where she grew up - transports listeners through Latin America and her memories. Ahead of her concert at the Paris Jazz Festival, she spoke to FRANCE 24's Alison Sargent about the joy and energy she brings to her music, and why it's important for her to produce her own albums and support other female artists.
