You didn't even mention the worst part of Blonde - the discussions 'Marilyn' has with her fetus. Whole movie just felt exploitative. It's not even a biopic, it's based on a fiction novel.

Idk why they didn’t just call the film “boobs”. That way people would know how exploitive and misogynistic it is before going into it. One of the most obviously Male-directed films I’ve seen in a while.

You cannot have it both ways you know. With the exception of the scenes that feautured Norma Jean as a child, Ana De Armas was in EVERY single scene of the movie! Therefore if she appeared in all scenes (with the exception of the first 10 or so minutes), then how the fuk can she be amazing but not the movie? She was is every scene ass-wipes. Did you even bother to watch the movie or are you upset because your movie star was rendered vulnerabvle, or worse yet did you plagiarize your review from know-nothing teen reviewer on KZbin?? Either way you need to reconcile the statement that Ana was great but the movie was trash despite Ana being in over 90$ of the movie.

I love her as an actress... but I couldn't get through that movie! I tried twice.. each time , no more than 10 minutes. By reading these comments I'm so glad I didn't waste my time. Wtf were they thinking?

I saw Bros last night! It was fun, but I said in the freezing parking lot outside the theater: "There are parts of that where I feel like it was written for the straight audience, and those parts were about things we (queer folks) already have an awareness of." I went with a gay man and two straight men, one of the straight men admitted some things went right over his head, we had to explain poppers, but they had a good time with it. But I also said, "A perfect descriptor of my relationship with my best friend is the Zellwegr app: we talk about actresses and then go to bed." I had an out of body experience during the "holding space" moment. This movie is FUNNY.

I could feel Louis have a near heart attack through the screen when faced with the idea of a Liv Ullman directed remake of Autumn Sonata starring Isabella Rossellini. I just have this giddy sort of adoration for her. She's so lovely and charming and brilliant, and I could listen to her talk about anything forever.

Dominik should have just gotten a large piece of raw meat and film that for 3 hrs. Because that's how deep his portrayal of Marilyn got in this film. Her character had zero depth. She was just pounds of flesh used and abused by others around her.

Please no more Marilyn biopics! Let the poor woman rest in peace! I saw Blonde and why was it even necessary to do another Marilyn biopic albeit from the psychological point of view. Yes Marilyn psychologically was damaged goods but on screen she owned the camera and was so mesmerizing. Let's remember Marilyn in this manner.

You know what would be nice to hear? Someone actually acknowledging that BROS was a historic accomplishment, and pointing out why. instead we get to hear people paying lip service to that, instead of highlighting why it’s true. criticizing the marketing for pointing that fact out and criticizing the open request to the community that the movie represents, to support it. Apparently just asking for support is some horrific thing nowadays.

I loved “Blonde”. It had an interesting way of depicting mental health how unresolved trauma can fracture a persons mind. The film deserves an Oscar for film editing and for Anna. I never turn to Hollywood for accuracy of any kind. Marilyn has written an autobiography so if people are looking for her truth or facts should go there. There are also several biographies and documentaries all of which contradict each other are available. This is a character study. I loved the editing and the story structure of the film. The film constantly recreates famous photographs of Marilyn Monroe. Dominick uses these photographs as windows into Monroe’s life and depending on the ratio of the photograph on which the scene is based and if the photograph is in color or black in white is what determines how each scene looks. It why the ratio changes and the switch from color to black and white. It’s like we are seeing the story through her photographs brought to life. It also is a constant reminder to the audience that we really only know this woman through media coverage. But you don’t have to find a film pleasant or agreeable to find value in it 🤷🏽‍♂️

Part of me was hoping for something like Love 2015 (maybe with a fwb who wouldn't even consider committing because the other was too skinny and not bro enough) but with more ass slapping, crossed with a satirical take like Chris Rock in Good Hair (a gay, decadently affectionate and touch exploration based, sentimental take on 2 Can Play That Gameeven, maybe)... But even then I don't know if I would like that movie... really all that I got was they didn't want to be Hallmark and all I can say to that is Daddy chill. Because what was even that that we saw
