If you're just flying for an hour or two, then you can tough it out in economy class, but if you're doing a 10+ flight each way like I did, the extra few inches of space alone make upgrading to premium totally worth it

You came to Japan from a faraway place! If you flew in ANA Premium Economy, I am sure you had a wonderful trip! Thank you for your comment✈️

Thank you for your video. I have flown ANA many times in Economy and Business. I have the opportunity to get a reasonably priced ticket in Premium in either ANA or United Airlines. Trying to make a decision. I agree with your comment about taking Economy if you can get an empty row. I have been able to sleep, stretched out, over the Pacific. Some airlines give Premium Economy an upgrade in meals too. So your meal does look like regular Economy. Sad. I already have lounge access with my Star Alliance Gold status.

Thanks for your comment. The ANA premium economy seats in this video are old and were indeed economy in-flight meals. Japanese airlines tend to focus on the crew. I think that is why they have inferior in-flight food and other hardware. My point is that the crew acts like slaves. When I fly business/first class, the crew kneels down when they talk to me. Not only is this offensive, but it is the reality of how women are treated in Japan. This is the last thing I wanted to say, but couldn't. This is a re-edit of a video I made in 2019 for a channel for Japan. Japanese people feel like kings when they pay even 1 yen ($0.79), and they have a lot of complaints about a single cloudy point. That's why I couldn't say it.

@@LuxuryTravelCHANG Thanks for your honesty. One thing I have noticed about ANA staff is that they are ALWAYS smiling.

The scary thing is, they don't realize how abnormal it is. Always smiling, then kneeling to speak, etc.😳

ANA's premium economy is only 38 inches. JAL's premium economy is 42 inches, or ANA and JAL run the same premium economy, with a gap of more than 10 centimeters between seats. When it comes to long-haul flights, the difference of 10 centimeters is no negligible gap between seats. Imagine the person in front of you laid his seat all the way. Most long-haul economies in JAL are 34 inches. ANA's premium economy is 38 inches, and JAL's premium economy is 42 inches, so which is the real premium?

Hello from England. I am visiting Japan for the very first time next month and I am sooooo excited. I am flying with ANA from London in economy but I am considering upgrading to premium economy. Do you think it is worth the extra cost?

Thank you for your comment. If you are not surrounded by people and there are few people in the main cabin, there is no need to upgrade. This is because the armrests in Economy seats go up, but those in Premium Economy seats do not.In other words, economy seats with raised armrests are more spacious and less oppressive. If the main cabin is almost taken, it's worth upgrading! Enjoy your trip to Japan.
