I've been listening to this since she recorded it and it's still utterly unbelievable how musically she plays. The suble voice leading and dynamics, the unconscious tiny shifts in attack to bring out whichever voice she wants to emphasize. Coupled with unrestricted technical ability. This is as good as it gets.

But, I think in the future, discordance will be a factor that the general public will accept as an expression they can relate to. And as "negativity" has more possibilities than positivity, it opens the door to an endless forum of creativity. It would be cool to see her playing break that composure revealing what is going on in that mind.

Of course, of course...we grow jaded (?) with such excellence in technique & expression, expecting always this joy from Ana (& her partner, that damn Redgate - must be turbocharged, or something). These wonderful bravura pieces are often rendered with great energy & flash, fun & exciting. Here, Ana gives us all of that, & also quite a range of feeling - a depth & delicacy - as well, in many passages that technique alone might gallop over. Thanks to all.
