ΑΝΑΒΑΣΗ ΚΑΛΙΑΚΟΥΔΑ 2,099 μ. [UP THE "KALIAKOUDA" SUMMIT]

#go_on_the_road #Mountains Στην κορυφή της Καλιακούδας από το καταφύγιο…Μια ανάβαση που πραγματοποιήσαμε την πρώτη ημέρα του Δεκέμβρη, μια εποχή που τα βουνά μας ετοιμάζονται να «φορέσουν» το χειμερινό τους κουστούμι…Βρεθήκαμε πάλι στη Ευρυτανική γη, σε μέρη που πριν κάποια χρόνια κάναμε τις πρώτες μας ορεινές εξορμήσεις…Εκεί αρχίσαμε να γνωρίζουμε τον κόσμο των βουνών…
Φτάνοντας στο Μεγάλο Χωριό ανηφορίσαμε μέσω βατού χωματόδρομου ως το Ορεινό Καταφύγιο Καλιακούδας…Από εκεί ξεκινήσαμε την ανάβαση σε σημαδεμένο μονοπάτι ως το Διάσελο Καλιακούδας…Αυτό το πέρασμα οδηγεί προς το χωριό Δολιανά και το Φαράγγι Πάντα Βρέχει…Εκεί συναντήσαμε ισχυρούς ανέμους και ο κώνος της κορυφής είχε εξαφανιστεί μέσα στα σύννεφα…
Η διαδρομή από το διάσελο και πάνω αρχίζει να δυσκολεύει και η κλίση γίνεται πιο απότομη…Η σύσταση του εδάφους είναι σαθρά βράχια με πολύ χώμα που είχε λασπώσει λόγω των τελευταίων βροχών…Αυτό μας δυσκόλεψε κάπως ιδίως σε δύο σημεία στα 1.900 μ. που χρειάζεται να βάλεις χέρια για να ανέβεις…Φτάνοντας στην κορυφογραμμή προσπαθούσαμε να κρατηθούμε όρθιοι λόγω του ανέμου και μετά από 200 μέτρα περίπου ακουμπήσαμε το κολονάκι της κορυφής σε υψόμετρο 2,099 μ. Η θέα λόγω των νεφών ήταν περιορισμένη αλλά το μεγαλείο αυτού του βουνού το αισθανόσουν…Η κατάβαση έγινε από την ίδια διαδρομή με περισσότερες όμως δυσκολίες…
Προσοχή: Η χειμερινή Καλιακούδα ανεβάζει το επίπεδο δυσκολίας

At the summit of Kaliakouda from the refuge...A climb we made on the first day of December, a time when our mountains are getting ready to "put on" their winter costume...We found ourselves again in Evrytanic land, in places where some years ago we made our first mountain excursions...There we started to know the world of mountains...
Arriving at Megalo Chorio we ascended via a passable dirt road to the Kaliakouda Mountain Refuge...From there we started the ascent on a marked path to the Kaliakouda Pass...This pass leads to the village of Doliana and the Gorge "Panta Vrechi"...There we encountered strong winds and the summit cone had disappeared into the clouds…
The route from the pass upwards starts to become difficult and the slope becomes steeper... The terrain is loose rocks with a lot of soil that had become muddy due to the last rains... This made it somewhat difficult for us especially in two places at 1,900 m. where we need to you put your hands to go up… On reaching the ridge we were trying to stay upright because of the wind and after about 200 meters we touched the pinnacle of the peak at an altitude of 2,099 m. The view was limited due to the clouds but you could feel the greatness of this mountain… The descent it was done by the same route but with more difficulties...
Attention: the winter Kaliakouda raises the level of difficulty
