Well Ms Taylor - despite haters, i couldn't give 2 small pieces of crap about what they say :) You are an amazing dancer & people will always talk and are just AGAINST what is the unknown to them so leave them be :) You are put in ADULT classes because your family wants you to succeed @ a level that i believe you have far passed in our eyes :) Its funny that YOU my little sis are more mature then most of these adults lol you can look past lyrics and FEEL music, yet all these adults are capable of is unnecessary mockery & rude remarks. Most 11 year olds wouldn't be able to cope with such disgusting comments, and i bet they'd not be able to say a word to your face. You are inspirational & it is an honour to teach you. Love you little sis.

Nah she is a great dancer! People will find negative even in positive. Although I agree that the song is appropriate the whole song wasn't used and the beat is very appealing. Hey at least she isn't signing it without knowing the lyrics she is using it to show some serious talent. Keep it up!
@kgal129810 жыл бұрын
When I was a kid I listened to country. Have you heard some of the songs in country? Reba sings about becoming a prostitute and Garth Brooks sang about a guy cheating on his wife and her killing him...like come on now no one remembers when they were kids because clearly we didn't spend a ton of time taking apart lyrics there. In this case the dance isn't sexual and she's just picking up on the beat.

Well, some people simply believe a child shouldn't be even LISTENING to this song MUCH LESS dancing to it. These songs were not written for children. The dance steps for them were NOT made with children in mind, they were designed to sexualize. Hell the only reason her movements were non-sexual was they were designed to eccentuate features she doesn't even have yet.

I was about to come to this video holding pitchforks and torches until I saw her moves. Usually when you seen a "tween" dancing to these types of songs they have dance moves to compare. I was surprised to see nearly all her moves weren't as provocative as you would see from an adult. Not to say they're not allowed to dance a certain way before they hit a certain age, but I guess some movies just don't look appropriate for some ages (by societies standards). But this girl, and guy killed it! What an amazing routine! She'll be incredible when she's older! I'd like to see more of the guy too. Not a dancer myself but I love the art!

The only reason the young girl is getting so much negativity is because the song is by Nicki Minaj, nobody really gives a fuck about the idea within the song, because male artists have been making songs with the exact same message, and I can guarantee that if Taylor did choreo to one of the many male artists that sing about sex etc. the backlash wouldn't be as huge. Such a double standard as well, because if it was a young boy, same age, doing the exact same choreography there would definitely be minimal negative comments about the song and the young boy dancing. Give credit where it's due, she killed the choreography and she's definitely talented. Song choice doesn't take away talent :) you go girl x

She's such a great dancer no doubt about it, but what makes her different is her facial expressions. They're so strong and you can tell she's in to her performance. She doesn't just dance for her own satisfaction, but also for her audience. She's not just a dancer, but also an entertainer.

People need to stop assuming that 11 year olds are so innocent. when I was 11 I knew more than I let others think I knew. She probably knows what the song means anyway so just appreciate that she is a good dancer and stop talking about the song. And don't say I had a messed up childhood if I knew a lot about sex at 11 cause you probably did too.
@lanadelslay67910 жыл бұрын
Exactly, this is TMI but age 11 is when I first started puberty, and was obviously educated about sex. Even when I was younger than that I had an inkling of knowledge of what sex was, not all of it but the gist of what it was... She's a talented dancer and people are focusing more on the song than her talented dance skills which is upsetting.

I don't see why people are saying so many negative things about this video. The dance is not even inappropriate compared to other things out there. Also, If you only have negative things to say don't leave a comment, just dislike the video and move on. Stop getting distracted by the song, and pay more attention to the dance. Hip-Hop dancing is very hard to do, and the fact that an 11 yr old girl could master a dance/this dance is amazing. This dance could probably match up well with another song, so don't berate her for the choice of song. Praise her for being able to dance and master a dance, forget about the song, the song has nothing to do with her amazing dancing skills.

Can't watch the video on mobile. But I am reading the comments. While I am not a fan of Nicki Minaj, you people are acting as if its so shocking she's dancing to this song, let alone listening to it. Going so far as to calling her parents bad parents . First of all, that is NOT your place. Second of all, it is NOT even remotely fair. Kids are going to listen to what they want to listen to, whether you tell them no or not. This song is on the radio, so if you need to throw blame anywhere, blame radio stations and the artists themselves, but there's no much you can do. I remember hearing my first very explicit song on the radio, Closer by Nine Inch Nails, which is really just about hating yourself so much you only find solace through sex. The song did not make me hate myself, didn't make me a sex addict, and there was nothing my parents could have done to prevent me from hearing it, seeing as I heard it at a friends house. My point is, grow the fuck up and stop bashing this girl and her parents.

This is probably the most accurate comment for all the people hating this girl. People who hate the kid and her parents because she dances to a song with sexual content. Probably they would be PRAISING the girl if she was playing a cover of Closer because well... it's ok to have sexual lyrics as long as it's not hip hop, right?
@answerswithquestions10 жыл бұрын
What you don't get is that popular music can't just be accepted because everyone's listening to it. At some point you have to have a moral filter and realize what is being said, and the lyrical content of this music is appalling. The parents should be to blame and perhaps their parenting over all isn't bad but allowing them to listen let alone publicly dance to music like this is bad parenting let me tell you. And yes it is our place to tell you all this, because this is the public, if you piss in the pool I have a right to make a stink about it because it's my pool too you moron.
@Roogs10 жыл бұрын
answerswithquestions It's not your pool, it's a public pool and you choose to be in it and involve yourself. It's just as easy to avoid that pool and go to another public pool where your interests are aligned. It is the ultimate stupidity to think that by critiquing this girl and her video you are somehow standing up for the greater moral well-being of society. Tackle the issue at the source, not in some random corner of the internet. If you are not doing that, then you're just another internet warrior hypocrite.

The mentality that you and Dean have is ridiculous. It's no wonder there are so many teen douchebags and little teen sluts. So basically Deans logic is.. because 11 year olds are exposed to wtvr they want to search on the internet, it makes it okay for her to be dancing to this song.... right... songs about letting a guy fuck you cuz he sland cocaineeeee is so apropriate for a 11 < year old ... pre teen.. to listen to.. lol.. They have access to porn to let them watch that in class right? What's the difference they are bound to be exposed to it... I find it funny you said do you remember what you listened to at 11 ... yea... backstreet boys, nsyns, smash mouth, rob thomas, acdc, guns and roses, metalica, linkin park... i don't know... Hip hop / Gangster rap only blew up in the late 90s... wasn't mainstream. So eminem, dr dre... biggie ... tupac... I was 14... and thought I was big shit listening to it.. Most kids who did ended up dropping out of school selling weed / cocaine getting involved in gangs... 90s - early 2000s was the biggest growth in teen gang movement in north america lol.. And now, all these little Miley Cyrus and Bieber, Gaga, Minaj, yolo losers... are selfish little shits and little sluts.. and you think it's okay.... exposing an 11 year old to this is fucken gross.. and the fact that you don't think so IS what's wrong with the youth of today.

Okay I've danced at a dance studio for 11 years of my life since the age of 8. All of you just need to stop thrusting YOUR ideals onto someone else. It isn't your life and it isn't your dance and it DEFINITELY isn't your talent. You all are so upset because you say the song is so sexual. Well so are MOST Top 40 songs. Plus an 11 year olds brain does not work like yours. They don't see sex in absolutely everything like you do. Like damn did you forget what it's like to be a kid and all the music you use listened to to later find out it's deeper sexual meanings when you got older? Trust me dancers aren't worried about your trivial bull. They're living life far better than you because when you dance like that you found your passion in life and I bet most of you don't even know what your passion is.

There is a line. this is WAY over it. #1 Baby Got Back and Anaconda are both inappropriate songs for an 11 year old to dance to. #2 booty popping is okay in moderation, grinding hips and making faces while doing it is not okay. If this were to go to competition, it would get hit with a few deductions. inappropriate music, inappropriate choreography. I don't care how great of a dancer she is... a college dance team can go to town on this song.. it's all about keeping it age appropriate. Laurence is an irresponsible adult in this situation.
@baxtersapper10 жыл бұрын
She wasn't really dancing sexually. This seemed more like a talent showcase. I think you're reading too much into it based on what you see in it personally. Maybe you should reevaluate your own views on sexuality if this is too much for you, being almost totally devoid of it in this video.
@newworlds847710 жыл бұрын
I've been a dance coach/ choreographer for 12 years. I'm also a certified competition judge. We are trained to watch out for situations like this. This routine would be pulled before it made it to the floor. Choreography is borderline, and music is a big no-no. You would be shocked at how many teams dance to songs about drugs, sex, and alcohol.
@SnailKingGY10 жыл бұрын
CJ Slate .....Dude people have been dancing to songs about drugs and sex way before this, so why do you have to berate an 11yr old girl about what she dances to. I don't care if you are a "dance coach/choreographer and certified competition judge", when a person is a dancer they dance to anything that they feel like they can dance to. In this choreography, there is no excessive twerking or butt shaking, and as Baxter Sapp said, it looks more like a talent showcase, so calm down about inappropriate song choice. Laurence being a irresponsible adult is total bs, when you have parents who letting their 8 year old kids play CoD and BF and along them to cuss the crap out of everyone online.
@newworlds847710 жыл бұрын
you're so right.... lets just throw all morals we have left in our country right out the window. Most kids are bad seeds anyways so we should just let them do whatever they want. Parents can't be mad... they're the ones who dropped the kid off for a workshop in the 1st place. Who cares if she's simulating sex acts.. She's a REALLY good dancer y'all.
@jeezustheone10 жыл бұрын
Don't get me wrong she has talent. I also have a problem with the type of music she's dancing to. She's not related to me nor do I know who she is. With that said I like the comments about " oh people have been listening to strong lyrics like this before " maybe that's the reason we should evaluate the situation better. Hope she has parents that can guide her when a boy looks at her as an object not a person.

I love seeing stuff like this! To see adults like you taking an interest in the lives of kids is an amazing thing! It's so sad, kids can't be kids anymore these days. To many ADULT douchebags out there trying to transform them into trying to be something other than what they should be & what an appropriate song for an 11 year-old to "dance" to. Nicki is a real "role model" for your young daughters. Not hating, just the truth.
@mariafranke153710 жыл бұрын
All I can see is a girl that love what she does. This is exceptional, she clearly has talent, and I guarantee that she is having fun. I believe that dancing is what she wants, and putting her into school and later university, having a job in a office might not be the ideal for her. I would love to see her being a professional dancer at young age and just killing it. So cut the crap and don't think you know the truth; there is never only one truth. And a lot of times choreographies are just about rhythm and the beat, not about having the singer as a role model. I used to dance and I didn't even know who was singing; it's all about the feeling. And she feels it.
@ReformedOrderPart210 жыл бұрын
voline v First off don't assume you know me or where I was going with the comment I initially made. I get what you're saying about the harmlessness of what the girl is expressing in dancing, that's one spectrum & I'm sure all of what she sees. But with some, especially in the industry there's always something more added to what should be innocent as well as the deviants that are just everyday people. Realize, from a much broader spectrum her dancing to a song is not an issue. However what goes with the song & it's beat is another issue. It would be very hard to compliment a trashy song like that & not have semi-sexually suggestive (dance moves) accompany it. No different than saying McDonald's is good for you, when you're hungry....
@ReformedOrderPart210 жыл бұрын
Also think of it like this, knowing that the song from Madonna "Like A Prayer" is basically a poetic message about a blowjob would you then let your 11 year-old daughter sing it? By the advocation I see in these comments most would & think "awwwe it's so cute, she's down on her knees & wants to take me (there)." That was back in the 80's & look how far things have fallen since on the morality scale. It's okay though keep defending lawlessness, most of you that encourage this are most likely the same idiots that go to Jay-Z concerts with (Beyonce) & hold up that Satanic pyramid sign that enslaves us all......
@WhopperCheeseDota10 жыл бұрын
voline v You can see her sing along with the lyrics as shes dancing. Like no one is hating on her talent or age, its purely the song choice. There are millions of songs instrumentally, vocally and lyrically superior to Anaconda. It was chosen purely for the controversial attention it would get on the internet and sadly, it worked. It probably wont make her do all the things in the song but people are stupid and dont realise the message they send to other people with stuff like this. Everyone is gonna think Anaconda is cool and that's where the whole "oh maybe I could try 'X' thing" will start.

It was an adults class that she joined in on, he taught it as a workshop. As somebody who has done Laurence's workshops, it's normally mostly adults but sometimes kids join in. She just happened to be at that workshop and dancers when they teach choreography workshops always film with the dancers who pick up the choreography the best. Laurence was obviously impressed with how well she picked it up and wanted to give her the props she deserves. So yes, he's calling you haters because people tend to run their mouth before they even do their research.

I have 11 years of dance under my belt and dancing in a studio such as this one seen here. Trust me an 11 year old dancer can handle a lot and their minds aren't geared towards sex like all you adults. Plus she's in an adult level class to excel, the choreographer isn't going to make every decision based off an 11 year old in his class.

Just to clarify everyone about the music. I was there in person when this piece was taught at a workshop. The music played within the class was CENSORED and the video is dubbed with the uncensored version + overlapped with the original audio (which is why you can hear the audience cheering on this immensely talented 11 year old). Also, I fail to see the provocativeness/lap dance like moves that many viewers keep commenting about. Many of you are basically describing her as a stripper, which is absolute crap because she is dancing Hip Hop choreography - not slutty dancing - and the moves do not even depict the song. Let's all ignore what Nicki Minaj is flapping about and just focus on Taylor's talent. Thanks!

My 22 yr old is in college, hopefully to become a Dr., my 23 yr old son is on his way to the Marines, all but the 2 yr old have been in the woods trapping, fishing, and hunting since they were old enough to walk, and oh my 9yr old daughter,(I have 4 daughters and four sons ages 23, 21,15,13,11,9,5,2), can disassemble an engine so put that in your pipe and smoke it... Have a blessed day!!

So it's sad that a child can dance like an adult? Mind you, "KORE" is an advanced dance studio and it's quite skillful to learn this kind of stuff. Besides, how is that exploitation?
