The song is about a young boy who is professing his affection to a girl whom he loves by praising her eyes. He knows the girl is famous and has already grabbed everyone’s attention wherever she has gone. He assures her that one day she will surely feel proud of the boy. This Punjabi folk with an exquisite urban taste is written by a young duo Amar Jalal and Balla Jalal. The folk group of Amar from Bhatinda was mentored by the Faridkot’s very energetic duo IP Singh and Rajarshi Sanyal.

Faridkot wrote a song called Laila back in 2007-8, and they performed that at my college. A couple years ago, I randomly searched for the song and ended up here. I sent this track to my friend and asked him if he still remembered Faridkot. This song had like 20k views back then, and I was a little sad that such a masterpiece was not discovered by a lot of people.
